Anybody use these lights

So I was on here years ago and forgot my password but I'm just wondering if anyone has used this lamp I've added a pic I've not been able to grow for years but recently have the opertunity to do so I used to use MH from veg until 2 week into flower then switch to hps but thinking of getting 2 of these for a 4x4 / 1.2m tent see picture it's one of the new cdm lights I've read these are better overall than switching from my to hpsScreenshot_20220316-145833_DuckDuckGo.jpg

Everyone is switching to LED is you got the scratch to invest. I'm on my first grow now with one after using HPS for years, and the hype is legit. WAYYY more resin production than last run, (everything else is the same besides light, even strain), bud structure is much tighter, and overall the plants look way happier. OH and heat is like 1/4 the problem it is with HID lighting.

Traditional magnetic and digital HID are incredibly wasteful. Spectrum, power required to produce LUX, radiant heat and increased cooling and/or ventilation costs.

Best part is LED will continue to evolve better and better.

Trying to save a buck? Newest posts have best chances of still being active discounts. You can get 600w of led for significantly less than those 315s. My 1000w led #Ez8 from @MedicGrow is less than those two!

@McShnutz facts man, I'm soo glad I went ahead and made the switch when I did. Came back after a hiatus and needed a light, Wasn't thrilled about the price over the 4-600w HPS but its SOOO worth the investment. Def a bit of a learning curve to tuning your setup with LED's I will say that

Congrats on being able to grow again.
I too had an 8 year hold on growing due to climate change.

My story is that I have an actual grow room which is an enclosed front porch so in winter it gets cold at times.
I have had a lot of good results with HPS so I went with 4 X 1k HPS for that semi-outdoor grow room.
I will be venting excess heat into my front room when I do the proper build out this summer.

I also bought a 8 SqFt tent and put a MarsHydro 3000 in there to do some plant breeding.
For my main Medical Grow I'm just fine with my 4 X 1k HPS and 4 COB LEDs for blended spectrum.

So LEDs have come a long way in 10 years and people are having grand things to say about them.
I say to each their own Garden.
I do both. With HPS there is Sun like heat which is something LEDs cannot do.

Just know people are LED pushy here. Conformity is a big deal in groups but feel free to do what YOU want.

Newer LEDs have taken this into account and are starting to include IR diodes more and more frequently. IME, I have no problem maintaining heat but that could be my overpowered light in a tent that is "too small". I can easily hit the 90s in my 4x4 tent, and that's at 80%power.

I wouldn't say "pushy" about led, just growing with the times. I'm sure, in another decade, everyone will be bagging on LEDs the same way we bag on blurples now. We learn, adapt, improve, repeat. And my electric bill says use the highest efficiency you can afford.

I've got one fella and it didn't cost me anywhere near that price.
Try ebay.

I would want a twin 315 in a dual hood to cover a 4x4. Not two singles.

Shop around though, I would recommend looking at leds too, try lumatek if your in uk

Thanks I'll take a look around and ye I'm uk why would you recommend 2 in a dual hood over 2 hoods and what spacing is there between the lamps

If heat is an issue go with leds, if not hids are fine. Never tried cmhs but have seen good results from them. Leds are the way to go imo. Just my opinion.

730nm is not "IR" - do your home work and come back and try to school the forum again :peace:

Cmh is still my favorite for quality in a tent. And I have rooms full of led and de hps. It’s also super easy to grow with for new people.
