New farmer has itchy snippers...

Hello Growers. This Gorilla Glue is my first plant and my snippers are rearing at the chance to chop. The colas aren't super fat but the plant is healthy. Most pistils are brown, most trichomes are milky but some are clear and some are amber. I tried a bit the other night and it was gooood. What are your thoughts on harvest time, and would anyone like to guess the dry yield? Thanks All

cutting in late vegetation & flowering will keep the plant in vegetation or you could possibly ruin it due to lack of time for the plant to grow full, 1 of the reasons I have a full plant in a 8 foot tent, the plants should be 3 feet tall it didn't, grown to 7 foot & topping the light, now I have light burns on top, nothing I can do now is wait, cutting it will only get the plant to go to vegetation

Yep, fair enough. i'd read plenty of times to pay most attention to the trichomes and they seemed to be saying nearly there

Your plant won’t reveg if you cut it but instead I would break the stem about two feet below the light and tape the wound in a 90• position it will start reaching for the light and no more burns

Probably 6-8 weeks left. Nowhere near close of being done. When growing outdoors you want to grow them as long as possible since it takes way longer for them to finish.

you are correct, you can go off the trichs, but you need to know what you are lookihg for. Those trichomes turn amber from the top down. The top of the bubble will turn amber 1st, them slowly making its way down. You want to look for your target percentage of fully ambered heads.
You can see from your pictures that its just the tip of the Trichome that has changed on most. This is why most harvest early. They look tough a crappy loop and see amber, and grab the scissors
