Whats up all, im new to aeroponics and this website as well..I just received my aerogarden pro 100 and began setting it up tonite.Pretty easy setup common sense really..I dont have anything but the seeds i germinated (seeds i saved over the year) and everything the ag 100 came with.I have about 4 seeds in the AG now along with 2 nutes..Ive been reading different threads were people are talking about their setup and steps they took but i still would like to know exacly what i would have to have in order to grow a good small plant using this thing..Also i would like to know if theres anything im doing wrong so far..All info much appreciated thx!
Try using fresh seeds. The older they get the less potent. I've found that about 2 yrs is about the life of a seed. YMMV

What i did was chopped the plant at the lowest point poss.. then I covered the whole net thing with black duct tape ,, i left the roots in the aerogarden and harvested when the females were done,, after harvest ,I checked the root systems and the plants that I cut ,, the roots were still alive and seemed to have no neg effects ..
Korv - I'm happy to know the male roots didn't rot after you chopped the plants. That surprised me. I was thinking of trying to remove the roots but I think that would be hard to do since they're entwined with the females. I dont want to damage them.

oh and another thing how do you flush the reservoir?
I went to the local hardware store and bought 6 feet of clear plastic 5/8" tubing (59c/ft). I put 1 end in the res and just suck on the other until the water starts to flow. You can use anything to drain it into. I use a 1 gal jug and use the drained soup to water my houseplants. They thrive on it...
