I’m glad he came out with the nyc part I said this about sour D in the other thread I’ve have some of the most exclusive strains right here in the city no where else can u go and find weed on every single corner and its legal now it’s like the fair .. The best market had to be around 2000-2010 even rappers where selling it was a 100 plates of haze was half million easy
Its not exclusive to nyc....but the way its grown in nyc (like sour d, nyc piff, stardawg and some others) is TOP NOTCH compared to anywhere else....which is why when you find it elsewhere its some average shit or even below average - while the same shit in nyc is grown at a premium level....no other sour has the sour flavor of nycs sour d....no haze tastes like the haze in nyc either....i cant point to any other reason besides it being grown better.
Lol must be because sour d specifically ive never had another sour d taste and get me as high as the purely sour nyc version.
Ive smoked probably over 100 different sour ds and the ONE sour is the ONLY sour d to me. Everything else doesnt even resemble it, like not even close.

It's not the water it's the microclimate. Pizza makers have tried trucking water out of NYC in desperate effort to create nyc quality pizza in upstate ny. You just can't do it. If you grow yeast in nyc and then grow the same strain of yeast in catskill, ny you will not get the same product. It's whatever is in the air.
You are talking about that shit I used to get in Washington hieghts in the 1990’s? Uptown on Dikeman or academy and post. I have been looking for that shit for years, I sold a car to some Dominican guy about 10 years ago that had it and it lit me up. I have been looking for that distinctive haze for years, closest I can find is blue dream. Where can I get some of that uptown haze? I think it taste more like detergent then mop water.
I hear the closest thing out there is Neville Haze, but have not been able to find any in north NJ..

Thanks. To be fair, she’s received zero attention due to being stuck in a corner behind towers of buds. She definitely has some unique terps. I was anticipating more stretch but didn’t get much
I just received NYC Piff #3 and AJ Sour Diesel cuts from purple city a week ago, they are already vegging quickly. Gonna make moms and keep these strains forever. Piff seems to grow with a wide structure, while AJ sour is growing all vertical with very little lateral growth.... This is after them being topped once. I can smell the church spice when I rub the piff. Cant smell much from the AJ stem rub yet. Shoutout to Piff Coast Farms, PCG, and AJ for your contributions in keeping these nostalgic strains around!
