Here there RIU. Time to try some plants under the Mars Hydro FC 8000. Will be growing BOG Sour Bubble. Last attempt to F2 these found the 3 males throwing pistils around the same time they started dropping pollen so I killed them and grew the plants out for smoke. Now it's time to try again. Set up a Mars 5x5 and a Mars FC 8000 and going to do another run to F2 this amazing strain. So here we go, time to have some fun. Here is a link to the unboxing thread. Thanks bud, glad to have you along. While it is recommended to raise and lower the lights I don't bother. I set it as high in the tent as possible and than dim it to an acceptable level. This light is 800 watts so there is plenty of power and it's much easier than physically moving them.

I want to lower my light a little.. however I do not want to lean over my trellis lol so I’m in the same boat now with my dimmer. I keep it between 75%-100% now.

The light is staying as high in the tent as possible and is dialed down to 60% It's so much easier to adjust the dimmer than physically move the lights and this this thing is super powerful so it can do this easily.

An idea just hit me.. do you think wooden broomsticks with holes drilled in them would help with moving your light up from the front?
the ends of the rope ratchet sliding through the holes, and stapled to the stick. (Which can be stored above the tents hanging poles.) The stick should be able to lean some leverage in our favor to pull that rope up in the back. It may take 2 ppl. The other can lift the lights weight to make it easier.

I suppose you could rig something up but I got no issues moving them. I just find it easier to leave them high and dial in the power. I think the moving of the lights thing is more of an HPS/MH thing. I know they come with dimmers but dimming them messes with the spectrum unlike LED. Now that we have newer tech and dimming does not mess with spectrum it makes more sense to me to leave them and dial in the brightness with my par meter.

I got t-rex arms bro lol I need an Amish contraption :lol:
I just try to keep the power down til flower. Energy in my area has spiked within the last year .
