Mother plants started flower

To try and control my plants growth, I tried to limit my lights to 14 hours a day. Apparently it triggered flowering and I noticed it probably a week later that I have some very very early flowers. I've since switched it back to 18, and the plants have started to grow again.. monster crop weird.

Are these mother's ruined or will they start back growing normally?

they should resume normal growth and grow normaly.
thats a bit quick for flowers to start, but not out of the question. was it pre flowers showing on the main stem at the leaf node joints

Keep a vegging plant on a solid 18/6 light schedule. Going forward to control the plants vertical growth try topping or training...Or a combo of both...(That's what I do.)

No. They'll probably grow like monster crop plants since the reveg. Way more bushy than normal. That's just based on what I'm hearing. Pics would help too.

I would put them on 24/24 and then 18/6. They're going to turn back to veg faster if you do so. Cheers!

These plants are clones of other mothers. So in total they are probably 4+ months old, so they started flowering pretty quickly. The clones in my SOG currently flowering showed actual flowers starting in around a week.

the light during the night will simply cause a conformal change of phytochromes and this will prevent flowering in this case as Cannabis is a short-day-plant (mostly), but it's well tested among many plant species

and save you some bucks in lighting cost
Every time I see one of your posts with explanations, you usually have a solid refence that you include, its like your a walking horticulture encyclopedia! You gotta DM me, I'm looking for some sources of information on a topic and I think you might have a back catalogue of answers.

I DO have a well-logically sorted archive of studies, books & charts/excerpts on grow/plant-related topics:

I estimate about half of that is Cannabis/hemp-specific.

It's a work in progress, I add about 10 studies daily. Still some sections are unfinished, esp. the charts. The way most studies are designed it's actually the compiled (comparative) data is displayed in graphs or diagrams so these are most easy to grasp the facts at hand.
I extract these out of the studies or books and archive them as well logically.

At some point I may start building a cross-referencing index, and maybe join several studies together to undermine specific topics with a broad range of arguments, preferred subjects would be Far-Red/ EmersonEffect; Green colour on photosynthesis, effects of UVA/B and cannabis physiology/nutrition/diagnostics ;)

Do you even grow cannabis? Or do you just save files of what’s already been studied and just copy paste stuff in regards to peoples questions?

I used to but stopped some time ago due to legal trouble
At this point my interest is strictly academic and growing only to do experiments as well
You like to shoot in the dark huh? I don't know if that's actually helping anyone or good idea for supporting the community? It only goes to show practice will always be superior to theory and guess work.

I beg you to stop posting and arguing about subjects you have no personal experience in. It's very disrespectful to people with decades of experience. It only helps to feed your ego and doesn't help anyone else.

You my friend are invaluable to this forum and should be cherished. You interested in publishing a study together?

Hmmm what do you want to investigate?

I'm gonna test 254nm UVC on drug-type Cannabis in about a month in a preparation series to see how strong it can be applied without frying the tissue. And what pulse works out best. Then later test if it could fullfill the same role as UVB. The mercury-vapour lamps are deadcheap and can actually better guard from mold etc

What do mean by "drug-type Cannabis"? So is this on plants to examine how it manage infestations? This was something we UVB treatment during cultivation to manage pests and PM was something we were looking at. DM me

Just keep your lights on 18/6 or longer for growing mothers. It's pretty simple and no need for any arguments or extended discussion on the matter.
