Thrips larva pupate and drop off the leaves into your soil where they lie between 15 and 45 days depending on temperature then emerge as adults to start the cycle again, and yes that's thrips damage

Good point- you need those leaves on the young plant. Just check the leaves. If the adults are there then you can see them but they will be very small. Like not larger than 1/16 inch long.......and they skin off the surface tissue of the leaf tops. Usually tender, new growth to begin with. They leave a silvery appearance to the leaf surface ............ in small spots.
With plants that young, it will be easy

When I look at your photos and I enlarge them- I can now see the thrip damage. Check it out under magnification. I think it is your call as to whether to spray. If they dont get worse, I would not. If they do then I would spray but just keep an eye on it............... they probably have eggs down and spray will not kill those eggs

There are tradeoffs, ha. I keep my humidity low so I dont use a humidifier. It ranges from 35 to 45 percent. I may suffer some for it but I also have no thrips since I started using a low air flow. My temp gets to 60 F under lights out. My soil surface gets dry once a day.
And I went from summer grows to winter grows to avoid bringing pests in during the fall season........... I have seen them all.

These things all contribute to lower pest numbers. And keeps the fungus gnats down also. Do you have house plants that may be alternate hosts?

Everything is a dang tradeoff!! We all are unique in one way or another in our grows. If we continue tho- it then continues to get better and better with each grow............. experience is your friend............ oops (have another smoke, eh?)

Thanks and I was just going to raise the humidity as possible heat stress somebody mentioned but I think I’ll contribute to keep my humidity 40-50% especially with the possibility to knats and there’s a couple has plants down stairs iv never touched or been near them really

Don't hold off. Overkill those bastards. Then overkill them again and again until you feel like you're being paranoid, then overkill them a few more times.

Damage in picture one looks either from tucking, lollipopping, bending etc through training or possible carpet beetle feeding marks.

either way like I’ve been telling you in DM’s doesn’t look like thrips damage. Lol.

Carpet beetles happen from time to time.

if they get in your grow they quickly die in my experience and usually find them dried up and crunchy somewhere when you’ve finished and doing a clean down lol.
