Incorrect? I live in northern Alberta around 56°N so mainly want autos for outdoor growing but grow some indoors for breeding purposes. To keep them small I leave them in smaller pots to restrict their size. I wasn't particularly pointing you out as a BSer.
These are sitting way past their best by date because they are ripening feminized seeds. All 3 planted at the same time with one being sprayed with STS. Didn't seem to want to give me any male flowers but finally did when they were all well into flowering. I collected some of the 'nanners and used some of the pollen to dust some lower buds on the other two on March 13. Seeds are beginning to bust out of their calyxes but after picking a couple out last night the 2nd one was still half pale so I'm leaving them for a while yet. The clones are from moms just a few days into 12/12 in my main grow room and unrelated.

These ones were grown outside last summer in the ground and got easily 10X bigger with lots of soil under them. Same batch of seeds for both. Mazarilla fem autos by Urban Legends. A cross of Mazar auto and GG#4 auto. The breeder wants some F2s when I make them so I'll be planting some of the seeds I make from his originals this year and dusting some lower buds with the pollen I got from that little girl.
I had trimmed off the large fan leaves earlier in the day I took this pic in prep for harvesting the next day. Only got 3' tall but were in a spot with shade in the morning and evening. This year I'll be planting further out in my yard where they should get full sun from dawn to dusk which means up to 18 hours of direct sunlight each day compared to maybe 12. Regular plants take until mid-Oct to finish and we're under a foot of snow by then so only autos will work for me outside. 10th of Sept works for me. That middle plant is an unrelated CBD auto.

Room for roots does make a big difference for autos. We had two of those nasty heat domes last summer and these girls loved it. With the rain we had all thru most of June they didn't get planted until almost the end and I never figured those tiny plants would do as good as they did. 6oz off each and I'm expecting better this year. I bought 8 - 107L bales of ProMix HP to mix with various things in the raised bed where I'll grow this summer.
Jumping on someone because their style doesn't fit others ideas of how to do something is really ignorant. All sorts of different methods get the job done. I've tried all sorts of things since growing my first buds in '78.
