A Broken bottom branch!

I know this has come up in the past but I’d like to see if there’s any fresh information out there on the subject. Earlier a branch on the bottom of my moms plant broke completely off, it kinda peeled a little more down as it broke. So it’s now completely detached. I tried to scotch tape it back together but I’m not real confident in the integrity of the repair. Anyone has anything to offer or just some reassurance it will be fine without the branch all together please feel free. Thank you in advance.

If it's completely detached just pull it off and dry it for some early smoke.

I just stumbled upon a great alternative to using duct tape or scotch tape to try and repair or reattach a broken branch. I’m not even sure of exactly what it’s called but it’s the Curad sports bandage it’s the best it doesn’t even stick to the branch at all only to itself, yet you can get it as tight as you need to, you can cut it and split it if your mending a joint or y on your plants and it won’t damage the surface at all. I’m just amazed. Not sure if it’s gonna work to repair my problem as it was completely detached. But I’m confident it will work far better and safer then duct tape.

It’s just a couple months old, my real concern is the big whole left where bugs can crawl into my stem, is there some way to seal it so that can’t happen. Last year we had a big problem with the caterpillar or some kind of worms

Well you can put different strains of weed on each other its called grafting soo

She will grow in to the hole maybe a week or 2 and you will not see it anymore

Ok cool, thank you so much. I’ll keep my fingers crossed, anything special I should feed her or care I should give her? I just transplanted them (3) two days ago. So there already a little stressed, now it’s raining…hope they’ll be ok. Also going from indoor lights to out side in Santa Cruz cali.. anyhow, thanks for the input, I appreciate any info I get… happy growing

I wouldn't worry about the wound. Some people put some organic honey on them, but I don't do anything special. You could put honey and wrap it with some breathable tape if you want, but I wouldn't stress it. I'm indoors though.

Sounds like you're outside, so I'd probably at least seal up the wound a bit especially since you've had issues before.

And for caterpillars I'd just get some B.t.

I broke a main while larfing in flower.. Duct tape. She finished fine. Matter of fact, these plants are so resilient, Im gonna post a time lapse of my mother plant when she's WAY wilted over. I feed her, and in 15 min, it's like it never happened.

If completely detached just scrape it at the base and stick it some soil. Keep damp. Not soaked. It should root no problem. If not detached just slap it back together and use anything to hold it that way. No goo or anything is needed. Don’t try to help too much.

I had a bottom branch break off my outdoor auto, during flower last year. I decided to try and root it. It took about a month but it rooted and finished. I have pics. Will post later

Lead Masters stretch wrap? Looks like the same stuff I use on my fingertips when I’m fishing with braided line. Good idea. Non adhesive, elastic, binds to itself kinda like Velcro, waterproof, breathable, and easy to unwrap and rewrap the same piece a few times.
