Something in my rez slowing growth. How to get it out

Other than how healthy they are to begin with, you shouldn't really have a problem..
Why did my one plants main stem turn purple?? Never seen it before.. Like I said it was prob drinking around 65% of normal water and just wasn't growing super fast like a normal dwc plant of mine.

I'd suspect root rot (maybe even pests of some kind), especially if it was only one plant (all clones?), sharing the same res.. We all are suspecting that right now actually.

Beat around the bush.. Reach in there and tug on the roots, do clumps pull away? Is it funky? Whole stalk turning purple is probably from lockout then, simply because the damaged root zone cannot quite get what the plant needs.

It might not be, but the title of the thread sure makes it seems that way, lol.. It's never a good thing to assume.

I would troubleshoot all the basics too... It could be that your meter is off, or something else. Go thru the whole checklist of obvious things like that..

So you only run the Roots solution in the summer? I would start running it just like you do then. Meanwhile, start preparing to make your own supply. Not sure about upping the UC solution dose either, but I know chlorine dissipates after a day or 2, and needs constant replenishment in aerated water.

I run the UC roots all year long, but a little higher doses in the summer... When I add water back to my rez almost everyday that has UC roots in it too.

I'm still at a loss. Another rez in other tents ph are shooting up to the 6.3 range and staying there since today.. I ph down and the next day 6.3 range again, this has done this on 3 out of 5 tents with different rez's. My one tent did this over a month ago for the first time. The first 2 weeks of flower the rez water was 6.3 almost exactly. I would ph down then the next day 6.3 again. After the 14 days it stopped doing this and returned to normal ph where I could control it and not be stuck at 6.3

Hey don't know if you solved your problem yet. However, I've been using Cultured Solutions for awhile now. I've found that if you draw down the reservoir to about half way and refill, the pH will typically become stable again. You can add some extra UC Roots on the refill. However, don't exceed the amount specified for flushing. I usually premix my nutrients in a 5 gallon bucket before adding to the res. I would allow for your ppm already in your res and make up the difference. CS has worked really well for me. However, at times, it can have issues like those that you've received. If you've been keeping your uc roots level consistent with the recommend level then I would think root rot is unlikely. Make sure temperature is no higher than 73, have plenty oxygen in the water and make sure your pH meter is accurate. Lockout will occur if your pH level is near 5 for a couple of days.

I think it was root rot.. All for 4 plants started in the same rez after they rooted and went to 2 separate tents and they all had minor root rot, but wouldn't drink... I'm guessing they had the rot when they were in the same rez when they were small. This never happened to me before.

Well, that sucks.... hopefully, you were able to salvage some. I've been fortune to not have that occur.
Don't know if you're familiar with Flora Flex nutrients. If not, check out their Full Tilt finishing nutrient. Def makes a difference the last couple of weeks. I like it better than Cultured Solutions late bloom nutrient. It costs a lot less, has a comparable nutrient profile without nitrogen. I find that there's enough residual nitrogen from the bloom formula at the end. So, no need to add more. I use CS in both RDWC and DWC. Excellent results both ways.
I've done a lot of organic growing and find CS produces bud as tasty or tastier. Way more yield too.

What do you do with root rot?
Idk got to see roots I just went to war with the rot because my rez reps to high. I flushed em for two days added hydro guard changed red again and 2 days later I had fresh white roots also used a little gray white and cut away the rot. Slowed it down but plants recovered great this is what worked for me

So root rot will always turn the main stem purple? Also plant will stop drinking or drink very little I assume too? Yeah the root rot must have started when the plants were small in the same rez. I'm assuming root rot will travel from plant to plant if they are in the same rez in DWC???????????
