"Researchers at the University of Illinois have been studying uses for urine for a while, and they have an interesting new study out that examines geography and diet as it relates to utilizing human urine on farms."

Abstract

Resource recovery from human excreta can advance circular economies while improving access to sanitation and renewable agricultural inputs.

Hahah yeah but does salts really kill a living soil ?
It depends what kind of salt. You use sea salt when making JADAM Microbial Solution. And sea salt is used in organic gardening as a soil amendment.

Other salts do not kill microbes and some actually cause them to increase. The key is the amount of salts as anything in excess can be bad.

But really is a salt
I think you're conflating table salt (NaCl) with salts in general (a metal + an ion)
All I know is a guy broke open a bag of softner salt on my lawn
We scraped it up and washed it thoroughly and three years later the grass was still dead after trying to replant multiple times
No salt for me except Epsom
