ok cool well ill make sure it comes with it at grow shop tomorrow... or i'll just cancel & order it from amazon
If it doesn't, don't order from Amazon, order direct from AC, same price, and you should get the controller 69, not the older controller. Sent mine back to Amazon, it had the old controller, ordered direct from AC and it came with the Controller 69. It was the same price, the only difference was the shipping, $18.95 from AC, or free from Amazon.
There's nothing wrong with the old controller, it works great, but the 69 has Bluetooth and way more features with the app, and can control more accessories, 4 as opposed to 2.

When did you order yours? I've got a new one in a box, but haven't checked mine. The order history looks like they sent the 69. I'm tempted to open the box and check.

But when did you order yours? Thanks.

3 weeks ago, and as soon as I opened the box, on its way it went back to Amazon. It should have come with the 69 as the add said, but had the standard controller. AC customer service was awesome, after I paid for a new one, direct, they shipped me a new kit 2nd day air, no charge for shipping. It arrived before Amazon picked the old one.

can you link me to the ph pens you use? thnx man, im on a serious budget dont wanna get ripped off
Just bluelab or hanna. Amazon is ok. If you're on a budget maybe the strips would be better not sure how much they cost but a good meter is ~100bucks

Sweet. I just checked mine. It's a 67, not the 69. I'm guessing you've got the same. Still cool though. It connects to the fan and one additional AC fan.

Ok so far I got

- 4x4ft Ac Infinity Grow Tent
- FC4800 LED grow light
- 6" AC Infinity Inline fan + Carbon Filter

I know I'll need some seeds, fans, soil, fertilizer & pots.

Am I missing anything else?
Do you plan to use salts or organics in the soil? And what type of soil are you thinking about? Also with organics you rarely need to worry about pH.

Maybe a oscilating fan to mix the air inside it will increase the yeald significantly if you pack the tent.

I was mistaken, the one I ordered from amazon should have come with the 67, but had the standard controller.
The one that I purchased from AC has the 69.

Well shit. If you definitely got the 69, I'm gonna have to talk to them. So does yours have 4 ports instead of 2? I just wanna make sure you definitely got the 69, before I raise hell,

Yes, it has the 4 ports, not 2 like the standard and 67. Customer service was overly apologetic when I talked with them, even though I purchased thru Amazon. I would have been happy with the 67, but was surprised when I opened it and it had the 69. Got an Inkbird that will be hitting the pile now, since I don't need it, will have the 69 controlling the humidifier now.
You'll be happy with all that the app can do, I've found the data logging very, very useful, lets you track, and chart everything so you can really dial your setup in.

Ya. I don't need the extra 2 ports. Looks like one is for their lights and the other for another exhaust fan. I might still contact them and see what they say. I thought there was a rep on here, but I can't find them now, or I'm just imagining stuff, :joint:

I appreciate the help clearing this shit up for sure. Thanks man.

Hey the whole second page has strayed away from your meters. You need a good meter, at least like a apera ph20 for 50 bucks. Your ph is everything dont skimp out there or you will battle all kinds of ph issues and not know why.

You wanna know your ec too but u can probably get by your first grow just remembering your only need about half to 3 quarters of what those labels say. Start at half what they say and increase if leaves are pale ect, decrease when you see curl or tip burn.

I used to record my ec but now I just read my plants

The OP wasn't asking about meters originally. And if he's doing organics he most likely won't need any meters anyways. I was gonna wait until he answered my question about his fertilizer plan. He already said soil, but I wanted to make sure he meant soil and not a hydro mix.

I like to get all the info before I ever try to give advice. There's lots of different grow styles.

Not really, good to have if you’re in salts or soilless media, but if you’re organic you really just need to check the first time to make sure it’s not crazy off, chances are your taps between 6.5 and 7.5 which is fine for soil

FC4800 LED grow light
Should have got the FC-E4800. You can adjust the light bars in tighter for when your plants are small and run dimmed way down and still get the right amount of light. A cheap light meter helps tune in where to put your light or how bright it should be. I use one of those crappy two-prong probes that do pH and moisture badly but light good enough to find all the hot or cool sites under the light.

The scale goes 0 - 2000 and 1000 is good light for well established plants and 2000 is pushing it hard. 300 - 500 for seedlings then go up as they can take it. They cost about $15 and can save frying your plants. Works for LED or HID and even fluoro. Just reads the intensity and as you are buying a light with a known good spectrum intensity is really all you need to know.

:peace:

In my opinion pH color drops are the best option. For only 7€ you get 500 tests, always reliable and accurate, very simple to use.
It only measures in round numbers at 0.5 increments like 6/6.5/7 etc. so you can't measure 6.3 for example, but with soil that's all you need. Round it up at 6.5 or 7 and the soil will take care of the rest.

Drops are even better than strips, i had some yellow/olive pH strips that i couldn't tell the difference between the colors when i soaked it, pH looked the same at both 7 and 9.

Digital meters if they're not at least 30-50€ minimum they're not worth it. They are not always accurate and they're prone to malfunction. It's more complicated to use, you need calibrating solutions, storing solutions.. Some meters need calibration almost every week.. Even those 100€ meters like Bluelab needs storing solutions and calibration from time to time. You can never be fully sure, and for a 1st time grower that's one more task to have as a burden. pH color drops are a blessing.

A dude at a hydro store gave me a couple bottles of these, and they work great if you need them. Still have about 3/4 of a bottle left. It lists as .5 increments, but there's a decent color difference between them, so you can get a good idea. I'd say I can judge within .1-.2. But I haven't checked any pH in months.
