FuuuuckIts showing sold out in canada.
Hopefully my caged unit does not do the same .
To be honest, it is a very great service imho. Usually can have a package in 2-3 days after it’s arrival to the USA facility.Looks like I'm going the shippsy route
Ya I just ordered through them. Still will save me a bunch of coin. Remember the caged plates are for an a frame press (I think). A ram press you need the uncaged plates.(pretty positive)To be honest, it is a very great service imho. Usually can have a package in 2-3 days after it’s arrival to the USA facility.
So far a caged unit looks promising to ship soon.
Ram should come down fine , right into the circle they provided.Ya I just ordered through them. Still will save me a bunch of coin. Remember the caged plates are for an a frame press (I think). A ram press you need the uncaged plates.(pretty positive)

I think the main thing is just the proper alignment that a cage will provide.
Either way , Dank will be squeezed from these units.
No, Caged plates arent specific for A-frame presses, low-temp plates actually says their plates are not compatible with 6-ton a-frame presses because there is not enough clearance.Ya I just ordered through them. Ahh thank you for clearing that upNo, Caged plates arent specific for A-frame presses, low-temp plates actually says their plates are not compatible with 6-ton a-frame presses because there is not enough clearance.
The main benefits of caged presses is plate alignment is not an issue and it reduces heat transfer to the ram since the plate is not attached to your ram. When your plate is attached to the ram, the heat travels up the ram pretty quickly and can cause your hydraulic fluid to thin and possible leak through the seals. I use a small scrap of OSB on top of my plate and a piece of g10 insulation on the bottom to minimize heat transfer to my press.
The downside to a caged press, is that there is not enough clearance to do "bottle technique" but you can fix that by getting longer bolts/springs.
Ya man. I payed 169usd. On Amazon they're 420cadi had to chuckle, dabpress fulfilment by Amazon at about 100 skins in my pocket for other items needed.
It pays to look around.
I did the shippsy thing so I'll have to wait
Great deal on the press man. If I didn't have so much Canadian Tire money I would have shopped around a bit, but really I only paid 100bucks for the press after all was said and done so not too shabby. My whole idea was 'cheap but good'. I'm still under 400 total something like 330 (for the press, pid and plates) after fees and duty for the platesI built a 20 ton for under $400, with a Harbor Freight press on sale for $150 and plates from Vevor, which is a semi-sleazy Chinese company. It works great!!

The bad thing about it is it is not portable. But it does work well, for about a year now.Great deal on the press man. Ya... The press I have is certainly not easily portable but it's not too much of a pain to move it around. If I had to, I couldThe bad thing about it is it is not portable. But it does work well, for about a year now.
When there outlet was 1.5hr away I would in most cases use the forwarding option once it arrives and payment is due. Just another option for customers to get there items with ease through shippsy.Well my plates are a 25min drive away in the States but I have to wait till they ship them an hour and a half away from me then ship them back the same way to my house. Lol. Thanks @smokey0418 for the shippsy tip. I'll be using that again for sure.
