Hi all l have just discovered l have spider mites and l am about 2 weeks from harvest just wondering if anyone has idea of home treatment that can be used this late in the game cheers

I don’t have an answer but would like to hear one. I’m literally ready to harvest tonight and spotted a couple strands of super fine hair-like strings stretching from bud to bud…..in a few different places on the plant. I looked thru a jewelers loupe but didn’t see anything moving.
How did you notice your problem ??
Maybe A good bud washing would solve the problem…..??

Not much you can do sadly. Soap and water and wash your buds at harvest a little. Cross your fingers it doesn't taste like soap.

Citric acid will kill the mites and dry out the eggs on contact. I forget the mix ratio but it's easy enough to do a search for it. It will brown some of the pistils but it won't hurt the buds or leave a nasty taste like Neem. Your going to want to do a good bud wash after harvest to rinse any eggs or webbing and just debris off them after using it but that's easy to do.

Predator mites always the best option IMO.
I prefer persimilis.

Yeah, those are good. I usually get the swirskii because they are generalists and I use them preventatively. If I have a problem, I like the 3-in-1 blend:

By the time you order the mites and they get them delivered to you your plants are going to be infested. Unless they ship next day shipping or something. Citric is organic and doesn't effect taste so that's why I was thinking it was the best answer. Beneficial insects are awesome but I think they work best before there is a problem. Just my two cents.

Never saw those/that b4. I always keep sns on hand incase, works great for me, but I do beleive in apex bugs as well. Interesting, thanks for the insight

Sns can be used up 2 harvest. It's just spices that the bugs can't take, rosemarry and chilli peppers and shit. Trust me SNS for the win.

You spray chili powder stuff on your buds 2-weeks before harvest? Not me. I won't spray anything less than 5-weeks before harvest., except maybe citric acid, but on the leaves only.

Leaves absolutely nothing behind, never used it as late as hes gonna need to, kinda learned and only had mite problems 2 times,but I stand by their stuff and they say up 2 harvest. I would never recomend something to harm a person or a product

That's not what the product info says. It says that it creates a barrier on the surface of the plants that mites don't like. It also says the product is made from rosemary oil, not chilis. I don't want rosemary oil on my buds either.

inhale it or get it around your eyes, u know it chillis. And it does sit on the leaves for a couple days and the plants drink a lil that will kill bugs for a day or 2 after the spray, but it all evaporates off in dry

That's pretty sweet. I'm used to things taking awhile to get to me because of where we live but overnight is overnight no matter what. Our road is so rugged UPS won't deliver to me so I built them a drop box down at the main road. It just sucks because it's open to all my neighbors to peek in.

Hey bro. I just learned a new trick last time I applied predators from Good Guys. You might already know it. But I put the stuff in envelopes and put the envelopes in the plants structure. Using the branches as support. That way the Bran, Vermiculite or whatever doesn't get all over the plants.Yeah, those are good.
