Where do you get them? Home Depot, Local grow shop, websites?

This is for a soil & organic fert grow.. in a 4ftx4ft

What sizes should i be aiming for, after the solo-cup stage? 1 gallon, then 5 gallon? Is it possible to go from the solo cup straight to the 5 or 7 gallon?

Tons on Amazon. You can go from solo cup to 5 gal, but newer growers might find it hard to get the watering right until they get some practice in. I'd recommend going to 1 gal first for new growers because it's harder to overwater going that route, but not strictly necessary. It's hard to transplant from bags though-they really tear up the roots when you pull them off.

My grow tent kit came with some 5 gallon fabric pots. I was wondering what are the advantages, pros/cons of using them? Do you water from the top or in the tray? I've been out of the game for a while and it's a new world from 2008 lol!

Sometimes roots will stick in the small fabric pots.
If going from solo to 1 gallon to 5 gallon, use a plastic pot for the 1 gallon.
Saves a few $ and transplant is easier.
really though you can go straight to 5 from solo without issue.
Four five gallon max in a 4x4 to be safe.
Treat them like a regular pot for watering. Water from the top.
Their benefit is that roots don’t get root bound and have more air.

Buy a pot designed for 4x4 and perpetual grow it. 4 15 gal will fit but 1 big one would work well.

I catch flak for it, but Walmart Reuseable Grocery bag. $.50-1.00 holds 6-7 gallons. I'm on 2nd and 3rd runs with the bags no issues.
Thats the way, dollar store bags are cheaper, l put in pots when filling with hydracorn so l dont lose balls everywhere, like lego to step on. Fits 8 gal round nursery pot.
