Yesterday's Mass Shooting.

The real crime here isn't that he used a legal assault weapon, it's that he used illegal magazines. Why are these magazines illegal?

When will we stop turning God fearing whites into criminals?
All jokes aside at this point w/3D printers a ban would work about as well as gun laws in Illinois

Most of these morons wouldn't have the brains to run a 3D printer, or even know they exist. People have made zip guns from junk for a long time. The simple fact is that the more guns around, the more people get killed by them, they are like landmines.

I mean, this particular individual looks like he can’t tie his shoes, but there are people out there who would capitalize and supply a black market. They already do

Banning magazines could be considered an encroachment on both your first and second amendment rights.
Cunning,we both went down in flames yesterday,Expected B's to lose, not enough firepower after 1st line reveals in playoffs for them and too small on D,since Blues dumped the puck in and beatdown the B's defensemen in Cup finals it's SOS w/them,Cassidy prob. gets ax,for Toronto when does the shit end (torturous),ton of talent had it in bag in G6 then ?,sure all of you went G7 w/the all to familiar sense of dread, maybe next year. As Belichick would say "I'm on to the Celtics",take care up there

If you think the future of 3d printers does not include regulation, I think you are mistaken.
We regulate ammunition too in Canada, ya need an FAC to acquire either. Interestingly the 2nd only mentions arms and not ammunition, such a thing never existed in the founders day and we all know how important their world view was to conservatives justices. So I guess the feds could regulate ammunition, they do already, you can't buy live artillery rounds for yer backyard howitzer.

So nothing larger than a .22 could be a new regulation along with no semiauto guns too, since automatics are already banned. This is not the federal government banning guns, it is regulating them, as it already does under the constitution. So every weapon over .22 would be useless if the ammo was banned and semi auto were too, guns aren't banned, their caliber and configuration is regulated like machine guns and large caliber weapons. Let's see the SCOTUS tie itself in knots over that one.

the other components within said mine would probably throw up flags, but I understand your point.
If you can make a gun go boom, you can make a landmine.

We are in the infancy of 3d printing. Before long they will be able to print on a molecular level. That means drug labs, bio weapons labs, nerve agents, the whole works. They will be regulated, and there will be those that operate on the black market.

You can't just throw your hands up and say fuck it.

Or you could.

We shall see.

Shit man, look at the Sandy Hook school shooter, that kid was a walking abortion poster, the sad fact is that anyone who is on the fringe and hates can now find solace and like minded support online that didn't exist 20 yrs ago and the weaponry is readily availlable in the US, these events are so common now that the shock factor is decreased and the same old shit is said and discussed and nothing changes.

Nothing will change in America on a lot of fronts, until you elect responsible government and that means strong democratic majorities. Until then it will either stay the same or get worse, as with abortion and next condoms.

Technology increasingly empowers the individual, however some individuals are nuts and some groups of them act even nuttier when they get together and multiply their power. If you don't think the world has been changed by a small determined group of individuals, then tell me when it has been otherwise?
