Present in about 87% of soils that are arable. In fact you can make your own using dirt from your yard.

Does it stain the roots or leave residue in the resivior?

When water evaporates it leaves dirt colored marks on the side, they get washed easy.the staining not much that i can tell my regular nutrients stain them soo maybe they make them darker or not i have a few photos in my diary of the roots
