Just Cats

On a lot of the breeder websites they call them hypoallergenic with practically no shedding.

My black clothes beg to differ. Sounds like backyard breeders unfortunately. I work with a few bengal rescues and also own 2. 90% of the surrenders are because they read somewhere they are hypoallergenic, then when they get them presto they are allergic.

Even sphinx aren’t hypoallergenic and they are hairless

This was reported to the police as a cougar prowling the streets in Vancouver, local schools were notified, police went on a cat hunt.

....turns out to be just a house cat (Savannah breed which is not considered an exotic or controlled species).

Carole Baskin has weighed in with her opinion.

The co-star of Netflix's hit documentary "Tiger King" disputed the assessment of conservation officers, who identified the spotted feline as a savannah cat.

The savannah is a hybrid breed that came about through cross-breeding wild servals with domestic house cats.

"You were lied to if someone told you this is a hybrid. It's a serval," Baskin wrote on Twitter Thursday, echoing the opinion of a number of other social media users.

"As someone who has rescued servals and their hybrids for 30 years, I can assure you that the only reason they are calling it a savannah is because they know there is a law against owning a serval."

Keeping a serval as a pet is illegal in many jurisdictions, but not everywhere. While the B.C. government doesn't ban the owning of servals, doing so is strongly discouraged by the SPCA.

OMG, I just recently watched Joe vs Carole....she was portrayed as such a basket case, this demonstrates just how obsessed she is about large cats.

There is a great serval breeder in Victoria actually, probably the best in North America. Kittens starting at $20k
