Oh ya. That's a decent light.

But I'd get one or 2 of these instead. Even 1 would beat the Blackwing. After the RIU10 code it's like $270 a piece. Even to start with one would help massively.

No. I only run mine at 90 watts a piece. But even when I had them at like 135 a piece I wouldn't say they were hot. The driver gets warm is all.

It'll definitely help. When I switched to the HLG's my buds got way denser immediately.

You could always use the Vipar and the HLG until you buy another HLG. Then you could see the side by side comparison. It's up to you.
