Yeah, Once we hit lights on (my schedule is 5pm-5am), I'll open the tent and do an exploratory in the bags to see what it's like down below. I'm not surprised that they're all of a sudden taking more water since I dropped the feed level back to 1.5 and 1, they're probably cycling lots more water to get the nutrients, but I that also works to get the Mg in quickly too.

Outside the tent it's mid 40's right now, in the tent it's usually 48-52 or so. Just discovered that one of my blumats ran away last night...accounting for some of the water loss. The tank was at 3-4 gallons last night and it was down to the empty mark this morning...checked the tent (in very dim light) to find about 2 g of water filling the bottom; Maybe 1/3rd of an inch total. Luckily I have plastic sheeting down in case of such things and have no leaks beyond a shallow pond right now.
I only had one 'run away' but it got clogged in the dripper then I just disconnected it and let it run. It didn't stop but I caught it and shut it down. I think there's a bit of a learning curve with them...finding that ideal dial point.... I'm getting closer to figuring it out but still not 100% there. Lights on is 5pm, so I can't do much until then. I shut down the carrot on the one that ran away and at 5pm today I'll go and mop out the water in the tent. At that point I'll reset the dripper that ran away, dry out the bottom and get everything back in shape. I'll pull back the drip a bit and see if that also helps things.
I think it's a good idea to feed to runoff once a week or 2 weeks.Looks good! You're enjoying the 2-drippers per pot? I was considering 2 carrots per pot to even stuff out and I have a bunch extra around.
I ended up slipping into the tent under cover of darkness (basement level) and once my eyes adjusted to the very dim light present, I toweled up about a gallon and a half or so...There's a bit more in there, but no standing water anymore. I'll wait until tonight and go in, pull it all apart and reset it again. Right now the fans are crankin' a bit more than normal and the humidity is 57%, so hopefully evaporating what's left in the tent.
At the very least, one of the the plants got a flush with mild solution, so that might actually be a good thing.
When I went away for that 9 day trip and my lines ran dry, I did have to pull apart the whole system and try to clean and right it again. The lines that I removed altogether are definitely caked in salt residue, but the problem seems to happen at the 'hardware' rather than the lines. The system had bee working fine and then earlier this week my bleed/flush line was running slow, so I checked each piece along the way only to find out that it was clogged at the on/off valve at the bleed. Sorted that and was feeling pretty good.
Yes, I used to water and feed to runoff to about 20-25% before I moved to the Blumats. Right now I've been doing the higher side of half of my feed EC, so 3.5g of Maxi per gallon. I think once I run through this current res. I'll bring that back to about 3g per and see how that goes along with adding back in the Epsom and I'll cut the Ca/Mg down a bit from 5ml to something like 3 and see how it goes.
With a drip you can really lower the EC. I usually don't go past 1.2ec. Usually 1-1.2
With the drip, I've gone down to 3.5g Maxibloom per gallon which is really only about ~400PPM or .8 once you subtract the water (220ppm and any additional epsom or Ca/Mg. Maybe I'm underfeeding a bit too?
