Fairly sure I’ve stunted bud growth by continually defoliating?

Rdwc that has been consistently within a 5.8 to 6.1 PH range. Front left is a sunset sherb x gelato and the other three are zkittles. Using- UC roots, silica blast, cal mag, Floraflex dry nutes. It just seems that I can’t defol enough… everytime I do it’s grown back within two days. Given that I have been consistently doing it I feel that I’ve stunted bud development.
Im I’m almost week three after flip and there’s little to no development towards budding sites. Any thoughts?
oh and temp has been roughly around 76 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity on the other hand has gone out of control and I’ve recently realized I now need a dehumidifier to control it. Everything I’ve done, minus running my exhaust fan at full blast ( annoyingly loud) has ended with me hovering around 70% rh.
to be honest I’m regretting going with hydroponics at this point Due to considerable electricity demands ( and now I will be adding another electric cost with a dehumidifier)

way too many leaves still. defol, defol, defol.
Even the smaller ones on the zkittles? Two of them are tiny compared to the back right. I’ve trimmed most out from underneath.
Out of curiosity do you have any examples you could post of indica dominant defols?
I took almost a garbage bags worth off earlier between all of them
Also- man, you have gave insight towards pretty much every post I’ve had on here so thank you!

Hlg 360 watts especially quantum boards ( two of them) and flipped to 12/12
that should be good then, I've yet to meet the strain that won't start flowering at 12/12...that's just odd, that they aren't showing any signs at three weeks. If they don't start throwing at least a few pistils in the next few days, i think i would try 24 or even 48 hours of solid dark to get them going. If that doesn't work....14_exhibit_kitwood_146313096.jpg

Have you double checked your timers to make sure your really getting 12/12 and not like 13 on and 11 off I know it sounds dumb but 90% of the time it’s something simple and possibly over looked like if you know they go off at four check them at three thirty and make sure they’re still off before they come back on at four again or whatever time you are on

Alright cool. I’ll try out the dark period if nothing starts to show soon. Thanks

maybe try 11.5 on, 12.5 off. that's what i run just to be sure they get min 12 hrs dark.

like everybody else said, 3 wks is weird w/o flower onset
I also have what appears to be a slight boron deficiency that I have yet to address. I only see it in a few leaves here and there on the gelato
