Which strains to choose pls

Not a new grower but not really experienced either... I usually get clones from my friend and just grow them but thinking of growing from seed.. What are a few good strains, maybe one for daytime use and one for night? I only grow a few plants at a time, indoors under LED lights.. Thanks

I'd go for a good Sour Diesel, Chem, or OG. Lots of breeders make great seeds from this lineage, like Karma, Doc D, Tony Green, TopDawg, Lucky Dog, CSI Humboldt etc. Check out sites like Great Lakes Genetics, Neptune Seeds, JBC, DC Seed Exchange. If you like classic genetics, also check out AKBB and Hazeman, they both hold some amazing cuts. If you like fruitier stuff, you can find what you're looking for at those seed banks too. Good luck!! A bit of a loaded, wide open question. Everyone has their favorites, seed genetics for the most part leave you with different phenos that may or may not exactly represent what you liked the last time you tried something.

Some decent morning strains (my opinions only):

Mimosa x Orange Punch
Tropicana Cookies
NYC Diesel
Lemon Tree
Super Lemon Haze

Some decent evening strains:

Gelato
Blueberry
Gorilla Glue #4
Most cookie strains
Gorilla Zkittlez

Do you feel confident enough to spend more than 5 bucks per seed? If not buy bulk from just about anywhere. A lot of the bigger distributors buy in bulk from Spain etc. Feeling lucky and want to pop 100 bucks worth of seeds in one go? Step on up to some fairly popular US breeders out there.

I usually stick to the biggies for bulk seed just for the germ guarantees. After that it's spending a lot of time reading stain reviews to look for common themes among growers. I can personally find a use for just about any flower. I have some gelato that doesn't check all the boxes but rather gives a strong narcotic stone that's just about useless for anything other than sleeping, so with that I'll mix it up with something else.

One of the best things about retirement, I can smoke what I want when I want. If I want to burn some SLH at 1:00 am and crash whenever I get around to it I can.

I think this is backwards unless you sleep during the day and stay awake at night.
Northern Lights is Indica, Jack Herer is sativa.

I'd just mix them and have a java monster on hand in case the indica is a little too potent.
My goodnight strain is Wedding Cake. About an hour after partaking, I'm looking for a pillow.
Red Hot Cookies from Sweet Seeds is indica in effect but not debilitating (until you been smoking it for 5 or 6 hours)
All Day, Tropicana Cookies, I love it. Got 3 of them just starting into veg.

Always monster buds, good potency, minimal stretch except for 1 of 3 major phenos.
Hits hard for a heavy yielder and has a few different flavored phenos just gotta grow it out and dry it smoke it to see which is which. One is a gassy skunky smell, ones sweet & earthy and ones kinda herbal/sweet smelling.

works the other way round for me, it may be a sativa, but it puts me to sleep if i smoke much of it. the first time i smoked it, i fel a sleep at the wheel driving down the moterway, if it hadnt been for a lorry driver useing his air hornes, and my quick reaction to the situation, i would have probably died in a nasty crash, i can smoke northan lights all day long

It all puts me to sleep. I'm growing some Durban Poison right now to test how something that is more fully Sativa treats me. But even stuff that slants 70/30 Sativa hybrid makes me wanna shut my eyes.
