For all those saying 8 weeks is too long to veg in soil…

Long veg times are one of the reasons I got away from soil. I get better production from a 4 week veg in promix hp than I did from 6-8 weeks in soil. I do sometime still run soil when I'm feeling the urge to and I do love the ease of water only. I've been considering trying some living soil with capillary mats so perhaps that will be reason enough to get my hands back in some dirt. Nice looking plants from the OP though.

High Pressure Aeroponics is my next grow.

Some leaves are shiny like wax. That's a sign of nitrogen toxicity. The heat stress is the leaves curling up like at the edges.
So about 4 weeks ago I did burn a few leaf tips, but as most people say, if you don’t burn a few tips you aren’t pushing them hard enough. Also important to note - there’s been no further progression on burning, just 2 millimeters or so at the tip. When you mention wax I don’t see it. Could be how I took the photos (dark w/ flash). Will take lit ones in an hour when my lights turn on.

As to the heat stress, you’re probably right, leaf temps have been peaking at 80 degrees and averaging 72 the last week as summer temps kick in. Not too worried since I’m nearly at the end but it is a fair point and I’m going to have to buy a window AC unit.

Veg takes what it takes strain depending i dont know why anyone would say 8 weeks is too much providing you got the space and train it correctly if required its not something id do with anything super haze heavy indoors personally but for indica/indica leaning hybrids yeah that or mores fine its down to choice/your situation imo

back in March/April I got shunned by some posters, said it was too long and the stretch would fuck me (it didnt).

stretch took me from 12 to 27 inches, so solid, but not more than I could handle.
Are you saying at 8 weeks your plants are 12inchs tall? At 8 weeks i have 24inch plants half way thur flower?

This bud is from a plant that is in the 6th week of flower now. I picked it to smoke it and noticed a mini-"nanner" there in the middle. (the nanner is for another thread).

It is from a clone that vegged for at least 32 weeks (4 months). The parent vegged for about 8 weeks easy. I have 2 plants flowering now that vegged from seeds for 5 months..............

Thats the 1st nanner Ive seen for years. But other than that - I got no issues with holding vegging plants for months at a time........................i keep them small and short in small, short clay pots.

Warning: this gets to be addictive. Not smoking it- Growing the freakin stuff

P.S. The strain is super lemon haze

Its all situational to personal setups and genetics. 4x4 space in a single raised bed with living soil i only veg for 4 weeks and achieve a similar canopy. Except i have 9 plants in that 4x4 space. Being indoors and limited on space id like to pull as many crops as possible so its much easier for me to increase my plant count and decrease my veg time.

2 plants, day 35 flower, 3x3, 10gal smart pots, 1100 PPFD. This is gonna be somewhere between 8-12oz…

This being my first grow, wanted to pass the message to the other first time growers. Don’t let people talk you down, do your own research, and most importantly, have fun!
BS this is not your first grow. FO

Forgot to mention this earlier.. I noticed that the longer you veg, the less stretch you'll get. That one that I vegged for 15 wks, after the flip, it literally didn't stretch. And this is the same pheno that I've had for 3 1/2 years. 8 weeks, and they stretch twice as big.... weird.

I understand he might be proud or whatever, but look at the plants and tell me this is first grow. “Do your research” :D
I have no clue whether this is the OP's first grow or not, but I've seen plenty of beautiful crops from people who have never grown cannabis before. Why does everyone think it is so hard to grow weed? I grow vegetables and flowers every year that are significantly more difficult to grow. It's just a plant. light, water, nutrients and a bit of care. it not Quantum physics.

So go back to my original posts here and you’d see some of the dumb ass questions I asked. This is very much my first grow. That said, I’ve been growing tomatoes for 25 years…
