My buddy brought over my fav beer for my birthday, which I haven't had in years. Not sure why. 9% alcohol, just an amazing experience...
The Chimay Blue Cap, baptized "Grande Reserve" in 750 ml bottles is a dark Trappist beer with a powerful aroma, the complex flavor of which improves across the years. It was first brewed as a Christmas beer by the monks of Scourmont Abbey in 1956.
This authentic Belgian beer, whose tinge of fresh yeast is associated with a light rosy flowery touch, is particularly pleasant. Its aroma, perceived as one enjoys it, only accents the delightful sensations revealed by the odor, all revealing a light but agreeable caramelized note.
It is ideally served at cellar temperature (10 to 12°C).

The name certainly is odd. Didn't know what to expect, but nothing milkshake about it. Should have included a picture of it's colour, which was hibiscus like. Unique in colour but improper name/description for a great IPA.

They add lactose and it gives the beer a lighter color and more creamy mouthfeel.

This one was pretty good. Smooth, not overly fruity, good beer for the beach.

I went to highschool in Joseph, Oregon which is 6 miles away from Enterprise- our neighbor was Jim Cheatham, who co-owned the bank of Wallowa county
That property is now a microbrewery

I've been there, lake Wallowa is really pretty and has HUGE Kokanee in it. My parents took me there. I can't imagine living there though, not a lot around there.
