Help with a problem before it gets worse…

Hello all, I’ve researched this on my own but don’t see any info that is applicable…..so I’m asking for help.
Plants are autos CDLC’s from Mephisto…..there are two, both at day 45ish, one in FF Ocean Forest, and one in an inert organic soil with added Grow Dots, EWC, and perlite.
They were stunted big time when they sprouted and were 3 weeks old before I got them stabilized. As u can imagine, they were quite small when they started flowering.
I decided to LST and keep them going while I popped more seeds and they’ve grown nicely.
I guess they are too pretty to throw away but too small to get excited about.
Anyway, both have stayed green and healthy for the most part…..until I recently spotted some areas on one of them. The one thats in the grow dots pot has developed a couple areas of dark brown blotches. They are only on like 3 leaves total. So far the other plant hasn’t shown this or any other problems.
They are under a HLG 320 r-spec LED, at about 80% intensity and 26-27” from the canopy.
I’ve only given this plant ph’ed water and light doses of silica mixed in.
What does everyone think??
thanks to all…..I appreciate the advice. 368F1BC5-8CB9-4BD2-B2DF-2758C18FD5C5.jpegAFF074CC-BCEB-457D-8D5F-05B4ACF93720.jpeg70FEF745-C430-4523-9892-2731090319E1.jpeg

Could be past deficiency causing the affected older leafs to die, are you sure your soil ph is ok?
All I can say for sure is I ph the water before giving. If the soil’s ph is off, I am clueless about how to fix it.
The grow dots are supposedly time released have ample nutes for the entire grow….supposedly.
The only other thing that may be pertinent is I did mix quite a but of EWC into the medium.
I also added more perlite, but it seems like the medium is taking forever to dry out.

Grow Dots are soil/ medium temperature released,I don't think that's the issue. A bit high on the nitrogen (they're REALLY dark) but as long as your new growth looks good, let her roll

For some reason I can’t post a picture. If I could I’ll show you’re wrong. Maybe later.

Potassium deficiency probably because of really high nitrogen. You’ll just have to work past it with those dots in the medium.
Hello old friend, I’m trying to get through this grow without bugging the hell out of you….but at the same time I don’t wanna lose touch and never get your input.
Can you give me your take on this plant??
I posted that thread a little over 2 weeks ago and since then I gave one of the two plants to my buddy. I now just have the one, which was the healthier of the two.
Overall it looks decent for a severely stunted auto that almost went in the trash can.
But in the pics you can see my tips are burnt and at the same time these dark brown spots are showing up on a few leaves.
They seem to be at the tip and/or along the edges.
The plant is in Ocean Forest that was amended w/ EWC and extra perlite. Its been top dressed twice w/ Gaia Green 2-8-4. I’ve also given some kelp tea and a couple doses of silica with tap water that I PH to 6.4-6.7.
The one thing that comes to mind is I’ve not given any cal mag. Ocean Forest is notoriously known for needing cal mag.
Anyway, I’m just trying to keep this girl green for the next month or so and salvage at least a few nice nuggets.
Whatta ya think??

Not seeing the need for cal mag. Dark green and light tips say cut back on nitrogen. Dark edges say maybe slight potassium deficiency. Suggest top dressing with more OF. You should do okay.

Hey there….so I took your advice and top dressed with more OF. The buds are def moving along and becoming extra frosty.
I included a couple pics from this morning.
As you can see the issue is slightly progressing.
Do you see any cause for being overly concerned?
Would you consider any particular feeding or other action to address the problem?
I’m guessing this time next month she should be real close to finished…..I guess I’ll know when that time comes.
Thank you again for your time and expertise. 981A8BCA-002E-456C-98BA-492FF0BB93D7.jpegF1DC6186-C708-437B-BDC1-5A63C9CACE36.jpeg

Still appears potassium deficiency. Although much less. Perhaps a PK boost of some type.

any suggestions on adding some K ??
I have a bottle of Terpinator that’s 0-0-5….perhaps a light dose of it?
Anything organic that I can give it ??
Every photo in this thread shows plants that are overfed. Overfeeding can cause nutrient deficiencies. Adding more will not fix anything. Too much is what caused your issues. They're too far along to fix anything.

Thanks for explaining that….I guess I never really considered that possibility.
Ive been guilty in the past of feeding too much and having problems as a result.
But this plant has had only a small amount of nutes given.
For the first 40-45 days it was only given water and Silica, as it’s growing in Ocean Forest which is amended……the only thing I added to the medium was EWC and more perlite.
Then around 3 weeks ago I top dressed with 1/2 the suggested levels of Gaia Green 2-8-4.
So all in all, I think I’ve been fairly conservative and trying to err on the lighter side of things.
Regardless, it is what it is.
I guess I’ll hope for the best and pray she can stay the course for the last month or so.

How much silica were you giving? Too much can cause issues. It's not an essential element which is why I stopped using it at the rootzone as I had some issues that only occurred when I used it. You shouldn't be giving it every watering if you do use it.

I always hear the reasoning about thick strong stems. Well I don't want to be growing thick stems in my buds. I would rather just support the buds if they get too heavy for the branches and start falling over.

Once you harvest and trim up those plants they'll be fine. They're just a little ugly right now.
