If the law changes they won't be legal gun owners if they break the law, they will get a large fine and their guns confiscated. Most people will either register or turn in their guns for a reward, 44% of Americans own a gun and most guns are concentrated in a small number of hands, one that can be focused on. If they are a problem Robocop will knock on their door and if they shoot, Robodog will come out of the ruble of their house with the gun in it's jaw pincer with their cold dead hand still attached. A drone will just drop a 50 pound bomb clear through to the basement bunker where the paranoid fuck is holed up. No ATF agents need be put at risk, machines will take out the white trash.

Robocop!? Robodog!? Dropping 50 pond bombs through the basement bunker!? What are you talking about? The second amendment will never go anywhere so there will always be legal gun owners in the USA.

Sure there will be regulated and licensed gun owners in America, who will be restricted to 5 round mags and mags that can't easily be removed. Robots will deal with the freedumb loving and paranoid, there will no shoot outs with big guberment agents. They will be in a van parked down the road.

The federal government can regulate guns under the constitution and will, over time the cost and bother of gun ownership will increase. America already banned assault style weapons and can do it again, Canada can provide a list of over 1500 specific makes and models and I can supply a definition as any semi automatic rifle with a large magazine capacity and a removable magazine. Register it and pay a fee per gun, or take the cash and the government takes the gun. Many of the hard core dangerous gun freaks won't be allowed to own guns anyway, they will be on the domestic terrorist watch list and will also be taking the bus.

Removing and reducing the number of guns by regulation worked to reduce gun deaths everywhere else. The 2nd is not absolute and most of it has not been tested in court, the second says arms, not just guns, that means grenades, cannons and rockets too, the second was for military purposes and it did not mention guns, just arms. Try buying yer own howitzer or 20mm cannon, if the federal government can regulate automatic weapons, they can regulate semiautomatic ones too, including pistols.
