for those of you who measure your runoff EC hydro coco

some think its crazy talk appearently though jeez lol its hydro we provide all the nutrients so this is what diagnosing problems looks like, im not trying to start arguements like everything is fine, look at these two plants, one is happy the other looks like hell and would bring one to try and come here and figure it outView attachment 5148915
If you want to fix your plants, here's what you do. Raise your EC from 1.1 to 1.3 for a week and if the run off is still coming out low after 1 week then up it by 0.2 EC again. You also need to make sure you are feeding until run off daily.

okay i actually am due to mix more tonight so i can do that and see how that goes, i wonder how my plants are consuming so much EC when people here beg to differ that 1.1 EC is what they do mid flower and to lower it but i dont know if they do coco it would make sense if they were soil grows.

Your plants ain't in mid flower mate. They are still vegging by the looks of it.

Why are you worried about runoff in coco? This measuring runoff stuff is getting ridiculous. Just mix you nutrient solution to the proper EC and pH, water your plants and call it a day. That's all you need to do.
because i see droves of growers who practice this. i do coco hydro which this pertains to because we provide nutrients in a semi inert media. what media do u use? im not sure why you post on my thread this way unless ur a coco grower who does just fine not doing that? after all, my blue venom looks like shes going to continue to do fine. according to what droves of growers practice in coco, a low runoff ec indicates an issue but many or almost all of them that post online do not have this issue though it was worthy of a thread, i hope im not messing up the culture vibes of these forums asking contrivertial questions lol makes me question why i started with hydro but wont quit unless all my plants die or dont yield lol.

Why do you always use the term "coco hydro grower"?
because of the high ratio of perlite and the constant need to water and its inert or semi inert because it does interact with a few notable nutrients like cal and mag and iron and a few more to lower extent, its always wet and should be kept wet so it being inert we add the nutrients instead of soil already containing alot of it and not stealing any from the plant. everything i use says hydroponics on it lol. so with calmg being the primary ones it steals u constantly supply calmag but calmag has high EC which explain why i had to post about ec in solution when i was still understanding coco

I've been growing in coco for decades and never check the run off..........I don't even own an ec/ppm meter.
You don't check the run off with an EC meter to make sure you're not under or over feeding? lol :bigjoint:

thanks for this, i lack asking what media people use that offer advice, when i hear decades of personal expirience it says a lot, without that being said i look at it vague like it might be harmful advice in my case not that ive gotten that but i disagree with not adding any calmag (someone suggested) but i could try it. if i get messed up colored leaves il be back lol

i just dont want my plants to die i hope that was relevant, i am actually all for trying out different things but need a garden full of alive practive plants to practice with lol

I don't know if you mentioned your pH or not.........what is the pH of your nutrients going in?
6.2PH and they look happy but a few have ongoing deficiencies which i just heard is normal with young veg plants adjusting the the coco taking calmg from the plant but if it persists il have to see whats going on

I've been growing in coco for years. I've never once measured the EC of my runoff. Anyway, you seem set on what your doing.

Good luck with your grow.
