PH 6.1 on average. I quit using tap and didn’t have to dilute with more than half gal of distilled with 1 tsp per gal and it was where I last was EC wise. Trying to keep things consistant and change one thing each batch of one to two gallons solution that last one to two days. Only takes 5 drops of PH down, I am loving distilled water already! It has the pump moving water around and hydrogaurd. when i want to do 1.2EC or 1.3 EC i dont have to dilute at all. Later on like 30 days from now my original source says instead of 5ML you can do 2 or 3 ML which makes plenty of room for nutes to follow your advice but still have my calmg worries settled until i see what one does removing most or all the calmg. I will refer back to your posts too for this. but what did you mean about my drainage resivoir? As you said, you can choose one plant and provide different treatment to see what happens. Untill you really do that, nothing gonna change. Your plants are expresing multiple deficiency symptoms but magnesium and calcium. I think you are so much afraid of deficiency of those two and forget about the base ones. Take your tap, your base nutrients 1,3/6,0 and feed to big runoff. Your pH might be off as well.
if their plants are healthy and glowing and yield what they need, which I would like 6 to 8 OZ a harvest for heavy smoker, I would say yes. Reading the advice to check runoff often dont post results of dry final weight and quality. You cannot post pics on your profile i guess? I cannot figure out how to. if you could this would help.So let me get this clear @bk78 @MickFoster you two think not ever checking the run off is good advice?
There is probably no point for them to do this since their plants are fed like 6 times a day. Feeling of the difference between their and other grower skills and environment he grows in thats the thing they are missing. Thats also the reason why their so called advices are useless for new growers in troubles. So let me get this clear @bk78 @MickFoster you two think not ever checking the run off is good advice?
Maybe I saw it wrong, but was your drainage reservoir just the bottom of the plastic botlle?PH 6.1 on average. got a decade+ of experience with coco but I didn't get the best from it until I got the nutrient sorted out, to sort out the nutrient I had to check the run off. With your “decades” of growing you should be able to read your plants by now eh bruv?
If drainage resivoir is just a container to take in runoff to throw away then yes, it is on drainaway trays so the runoff goes straight into the trays. They are marked so that I know it is 20% runoff for that pot size and 5% volume of solution going in each time. The trays are cleaned and dumped right away which is when one could dip the EC meter in to take note if they didn’t mind.Maybe I saw it wrong, but was your drainage reservoir just the bottom of the plastic botlle?
And also, the thing you adjust pH of your solution to 6,1 does not really mean that pH in your rootzone is the same. Since you water once a day by such a ridiculous amount of the water, you might be pretty sure your pH down there sits low 5. On one side you are happy you can adjust pH of your water but on the other side you have completely expelled the idea of pH being off, which actually looks like that.PH 6.1 on average. They're more than capable of answering. There is probably no point for them to do this since their plants are fed like 6 times a day. And this is exactly the problem I was talking about. You are not watering enough, causing issues like built up throwing pH off and you are busted. Have fun kiddoIf drainage resivoir is just a container to take in runoff to throw away then yes, it is on drainaway trays so the runoff goes straight into the trays. They will send you into shit with expectable answer, but if you think different have fun all kiddosThey're more than capable of answering.
ok this is new info, thank for your input. by rediculous what do you mean, little or too much? Not sure what you meanAnd also, the thing you adjust pH of your solution to 6,1 does not really mean that pH in your rootzone is the same. so the trays are fine, I should just water with more volume? Or more often? They’re big enough to hold way more water than they look, I was just following guidelines with feeding frequencies. They get 20% every time. And this is exactly the problem I was talking about. You are not watering enough, causing issues like built up throwing pH off and you are busted. Have fun kiddo
Nope. All coco bud.those look nice looks like u got a veriety of mediums going on. these last threads lately have me thinking of trying a couple soil pots. try some of the formulas people have going on from here and such
Get your facts straight my friend. There is probably no point for them to do this since their plants are fed like 6 times a day. Show us these perfect plants at the finish?Get your facts straight my friend.
I only feed once a day in veg and twice a day in flower.
I never check my run off and my plants are perfect from start to finish.
If you feed your plants properly there is no reason to check your run off.........that's hardly useless advice.
How many grows do you have under your belt my friend?
I have posted many pics of my grows over the last 14 years on RIU.......and I certainly don't need to prove anything to you.Show us these perfect plants at the finish?
