Hardening off time scale?

Hi all got a few cuttings I was going to plant outside. Question is how long do I have to leave them out on a daily basis? And how long do I do this before planting. Its mid June now so was hoping to get them out as soon as possible.

Put them out in a shaded area for a few days and they should be fine staying out from now on
Plant them in sun soon after

I think I’d put them in the ground now. If you think the light intensity is going to be vastly different than what they are used to maybe use a shade or something to give them some temporary relief from the sun/heat.

Put them out in the sun for 30 min on the first day, bring them back in and check them out. I would increase that by an hour for the next couple of days, then they should be alright. It all depends on the strength of light they were raised on. If they were under t5s, you might kill them in a couple of hours of direct sunlight-if they were under brighter leds, you might be okay, but why risk it? Giving it a few days to adjust won't hurt anything, but it very likely could help.

There on a shaded ledge outside my shed just started to put them out today. So will a couple of days do it then straight out into final plot?

I’ll bet they are root bound under a t5 at that size
You can only do so much as they need up potted or planted in the ground soon
A few days will condition them I would look for a permanent location where you get morning sun

The place I'm putting them gets the sun until around midday. Shaded for rest of day once it passes the tree line. Possibly are root bound but didn't want to put them in bigger pots due to transport. Will put them out in a couple of days, thanks for the help everyone.

when I get clones, I have them under lights so they won't start flowering, but never had an issue hardening them. I put them out in the morning sun a few hours for several days, by a week they are good for full sun outdoors. They seem to acclimate really fast

There clones from my own plants,they were in flower already when I cut them so took a bit longer to reveg than I expected. I've had them out in the shade for a few hours today will put them in the sun tomorrow morning then back in shade for a few hours. Will repeat for a few days then going into their final plot. I just wanted a roundabout timescale.
