Does anyone here from the Green Country area get their stuff tested for cannabinoids? Specifically I want to know if the Circles CBG strain, or if individuals I am growing are hemp compliant. I am in love with CBG. lol

We test for Cannabinoids for Cannabis.. not Hemp tho.

Since CBG is by legal standards hemp and the strain I am growing is supposedly hemp compliant I would like to know if it COULD be grown in mass quanties, not under the OMMA rules but under hemp guidelines. I never expected to be in the position this would be an issue, but I'd like to know my legal options.
I'd be testing for THC, CBG, and CBD too. I assume everything in the past has tested for THC, CBD, and terpenes, but I don't know if CBG is in the general panels. I'm completely unversed in modern testing, but I did a bit of thin layer chromatography back in college.

This is what a standard Full Panel looks like... I didn't include the second page, which just shows heavy metals, microbes, etc. Down there by Cannabinoids, you'll see "HPLC"... that's High Pressure Liquid Chromatography.

Are familiar with "Fast Blue BB". It dyes each cannabinoid on the TLC plate a different color. It's what law enforcement uses to prove TLC. I have some but haven't used any yet. You can find it on Google Scholar.

I would imagine the molasses does a little something to the flavor of the final product, but I believe it’s more so the micronutrients and carbs feeding the microbes in the soil which helps the plants. I use a a few tablespoons of it when I make aerated compost tea, the idea is to give food for the good microbes to populate the tea. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed a molasses or a sweet flavor in my flower, outside of the normal terp profile.

Well, maybe that, too. Thin Layer Chromography. It doesn't give percentages but it does tell you what's in it. It would be nice to really know what's in your pot. That's why I wanted to start a lab thread. The problem is people will think I know something it. I don't. Only what is on the web. My granddaughter's boyfriend is a chemist and does a lot for one of the more popular CBD companies. He kind of keeps an eye on me so that I don't do anything plumb stupid and occasionally drops a hint that saves a lot of work. His method of telling me how to do something is "You've got a computer, look it up." He does point me in the right direction.... and this whole time I thought you were saying they used it to prove Tender Loving Care.

Most labs are done (as far as cannabinoids) are done by HPLC ... High Pressure Liquid Chromatography .. they take the sample and dilute it in a solution, and let it settle, they they take about 10ml of the fluid in the vile, and run it through the HPLC machine ... learning more about it myself.

I've never noticed any difference in the terpenes being sweeter from using or not using it. If you're not growing in organic soil with an established micro organism colony all you would be doing is adding a small amount of trace nutrients. There's better ways to do that if your using salt nutes. I add a tbls per gallon a couple days after using my microbe product just to help feed the colony. I've heard it's not necessary but my opinion is the extra food for them can't hurt and the trace nutrients for the girls are beneficial since I'm using dry amendments and not pure organics.

@DoubleAtotheRON been watching Do-Si-Dos. Looks really nice. I'm going to try that on my next plant. I'm setting up the grow room now. Diet Durban THCV:THC. The seeds are ordered. Diabetes now. Another license, another garden. Everything here is legit but it's starting to look a little to big.

I use DCVC. It's just a different way to do the same thing. The main difference is I can afford the DCVC.
