Hanna grow line ph pen

What is up RIU?! Another beautiful day on planet Earth. Got a question for all you growers who use the Hanna ph pen with temp from the grow line series. What type of container do you store your pen in with the storage solution? The only thing I can find is for ph probes and they have a different cap all together. If I put a little storage solution in the cap and put the cap on the pen, the solution leaks out and makes a mess. Post some pics of how you store your pens please. Or any advice.

My last pen was just an inexpensive yellow one that was stamped vivosun. It lasted for about a year with a dry storage but with this new Hanna pen I know I can get more favorable test results. If I stored like in the pic should I be ok? It's plastic tuperware, using Hanna storage solution.20220701_144232.jpg

Until the fluid evaporates

Doesn't it come with a storage cap?

The rubber o-ring on the body forms a decent seal

In an open container the water will evaporate faster which causes the concentration of the sol'n to increase which is as bad as too dilute a sol'n.

The concentration of fresh storage sol'n is supposed to match the concentration of the sol'n inside the glass bulb so there is no loss or gain and the calibration stays on point. I'm almost out so need to find the amount of KCl to add to distilled water to make some up as I have a kilo of KCl laying around that I'll never use up on the plants.

Storage solution is usually 4 molar KCL
