Afghan auto from growerechoiceseeds 5 weeks old. I topped at 5th node and LST. Not getting any stretch really. Shes growing and filling out but not vertically. I had trouble with my first grow as well with this could it be genetics? So far i have not had one problem with this one (knock on wood) so i know shes not stunted or anything. I know the website says its a "short and stocky strain" Thoughts and opinions on anything i should do? Only my 2nd grow any advice is very much appreciated!

2 100 watt bestvas
20" height PPFD of 650
Black gold organic soil
FF trio nutes (i know not best going to use it up before i purchase something new)
Spring water
5gallon fabric pot
Temps around 73-76
Humidity between 45 and 55

Your plant looks great

If it's already 5 weeks old, it's doubtful its an autoflower

Change your lights to 12/12 and you'll likely see some stretch

Why do you want it to stretch?

If it's a short, stocky strain to begin with and you topped it also, I'd expect it to remain quite short. I also usually top my autos as soon as the fourth node is visible if I'm planning on topping them. The later I've waited to top them, the more issues I've seen with recovery and in one case the plant getting slightly stunted in overall size. Photos, you can pick and choose when to top, but autos you're kind of on a tighter schedule. You can also put the pot on risers like bricks or cinder blocks to even it out with other plants in the tent if you have an uneven canopy and trim the stuff too low to improve airflow once flower really kicks off.

I wouldn't worry about it, the plant looks healthy and it has just started to bloom. You could still see plenty of growth in the next 14-21 days. Just keep it healthy and fed properly and watch your temps. Their on the lower side of what you want for LED lighting. Upper 70s and low 80s seem to work much better with LEDs.

Ill raise the temp a little. Im closet growing so raising temp is easy. Should i be defoliating any yet or when?
