My youngest brother has been dutch for nearly 25 years - right after he married a Dutch/Frisian hybrid.
Fine choice of genetics even if I say so myself
For Frisian farmers it's extra hard to take orders from the government in Holland. Hollanders and Frisians were at war on and off for hundreds of years. Been 700 years or so but there's still some animosity. Great people, at least until they got slaughtered and raped into submitting to christianity. Before that they were major tree huggers, vikings meets Avatar. It's has a very high density of churches, some build on holy trees. Sacred springs became christian holy wells. One of the saddest stories of Christianization in europe. Frisia used to be much larger, entire west coast of NL, the north coast including parts of Germany and Denmark. Modern day Frisia is just another cunt farmer province in NL. They still speak their own language. Pretty girls though
Your sentiments are shared regarding their behaviour. Dutch dairy farmers are terrible stewards of the earth. They cut down fence rows where small creatures live. They spread liquid manure several times in the winter on frozen ground, adjacent to creeks that empty into Lake Erie - causing algae blooms and no swim zones in the summer. Long list of bad practices.
Those are all familiar examples. They’re like machines, farming is their sole function, religiously. The ones that farm animals often don’t give a shit about plants. A lot of them moved to Canada in the past, some US and NZ too. A thing since ww2 but later mostly because of regulations and limits here. I know the type very well, rarely from Holland but some cunt farmer province instead, the calvinist protestant bat shit christian types you can also find around Michigan.
