It's definitely hard to make it here without a support system, not impossible though. Cost of living has really outpaced wages and it's a strain, rent increases have pushed lots out.

There are a lot of rentals in my neighborhood, I think the actual owners are mostly retired people who are just renting out their house as a second income and out doing whatever retired people do.

Edit: weird question...but did some fireworks show north of Denver (Thornton up to ft collins) involve skydivers with flame throwers that you are aware of offhand?
Ummmm, are you fucking crazy? I only know about The Fort, that it was the first time in two years. It was a small appropriate display living in semi-arid desert low on water. I believe it was no more than 10-15 minutes..I started to hear..went to look and that was the grand finale.

The above highlighted would be on the Trump July 4th Wish List.

True, but it is isn't it? Are not a lot of placers? New Zealand, Spain, Canada, Portugal etc etc.

I agree i don't have much tact- I'm Australian. We "tell it like it is".
ok, you go back on ignore and stay there now, nice knowing you...well, not really
enjoy your "truth" alone...i'm sure you're used to doing all kinds of things alone
and by the way, any country that produces you isn't in a good place...

From a young age I often heard "If you're not Dutch, you're not much".
I heard that phrase once before, first time I heard about the dutch in Michigan. Figured it’s the same kind. That's messed up and imo a very un-dutch thing to say. Next time tell’m they’re no longer welcome here… oh wait that’s kinda why they left. More than half the children in major cities are not of western descent, most of them more dutch than those expat farmers ever were.

Classic example on a talkshow yesterday. Farmer is like “the government doesn’t listen to us” so some national infamous trolling comedian/actor tries to explain he doesn’t have a given right to farm. Farmer is like ”but I’m 100% farmer, my dad was a farmer, my son will be a farmer. I want to farm”. They just don’t get it. They see farming as a birthright, as something for which God put them on the planet.

In addition to plant based, if only there was an alternative protein option, like crickets, grasshoppers, ants, and meal worms. This may curb some greenhouse gasses and water consumption attributed to dairy/beef/pork farming practices.
As I mentioned in a previous post, there’s enough plant based protein harvested to feed the entire world, problem is we feed half of it to animals to grow meat. Plant and insect based meat is not scifi here anymore, we have the least % of omnivores in europe. 42% is flexitarian. Definitely follows the cunt farmer spectrum here, the more rural it gets, the more common and larger the meat on plates.

Personally I don’t want or need meatless meat, another form of processed food, but if it helps I’m all for it.

1) Some day soon I will be able to 3-d print a ribeye steak from vegan material.
2) As a first-generation scion of Austrians, you can imagine how many dumb questions about the kangaroos of my homeland I’ve endured.

I got some back when someone thought “sprecken Zee dutch?” was kulturny. They’d look confused when I replied “ik spreek geen nederlands”.

That's it, you take your bat and ball and go home.

On the plus side at least you learnt who Paul Keating is. A days not wasted if you learn one new thing.

The same thing happened with Adam Smith as happened to Jesus, half the message was lost on deaf ears. Here is a short dramatization, he spoke of capitalism's hidden hand and that is remembered by the greedy, but he also spoke of the other hand of government regulation, the law and how government could improve the lives of people.

Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus has ordered the Commonwealth to drop the prosecution of lawyer Bernard Collaery, four years after he was charged with conspiring to release classified information about an alleged spying operation in East Timor.

"This is an important day for Australian democracy. Bernard Collaery should never have been prosecuted. The Attorney-General has done the right thing and should be applauded for that," he said.

"Whistleblowers should be protected, not punished – it's as simple as that.
"The Collaery, McBride and Boyle cases are vivid illustrations of the importance of robust whistleblower protections and the damage done to the public interest when whistleblowers are prosecuted rather than protected.

Porsche has announced its Australian plant for efuel production will be located in the north-west of Tasmania, with operations slated to begin in 2026.

After the German manufacturer announced its plans to build a local facility in April (see below), it has now locked in the HIF (Highly Innovative Fuels) Tasmania Carbon Neutral eFuel Plant as its first commercial-scale facility to be built in Australia.

Slated to have a 40-year operational life, the 250-megawatt facility promises to use renewables to produce green hydrogen, projecting production outputs of over 100 million litres of carbon-neutral efuels annually, with the ability to pump out up to 190 tonnes a day.

Air battles from all eras are fought on the internet involving thousands of people using DCS, some people have very elaborate home simulators and there are many retired and serving military pilots. This 1 minute clip shows you how far these sims have come, this one allows you to build your own cockpit or just fly with a computer and joystick.
