Buds with no hairs?

So I’ve got a few gelatos in flower and coming close to harvest. The only thing is that none of the buds have hair. I mean literally none lol they look/smell crazy good. Nugs are tightening up and have lots of resin just no hairs has any body seen or had this happen to them. I’ve got gdp and some gorillas in the same room and they look normal with hairs.

i have no idea whats happening but can i speculate?
perhaps when flowering, it flowers differently with a male - type pod structure rather than a hair type female structure
(obviously not a male, but perhaps it maintained a small piecce of genetics from a male ?)
is there actually more potential to be unlocked with this no hair variety? should look into it .

Could be the genetics as well. Never seen anything quite like that but up until that “freak show” strain came out, had never seen anything quite like that before either. All looking good though.

You mean never?
Yes never and I’ve got about 10 plants of the gelatos and literally none have ever had hairs but have been producing some beautiful buds I was guessing maybe to do with the genetics but wanted to see if anybody else has seen this and can educate me some

Basically what I was thinking pretty much why I posted this to see if anyone in the community knew if it’s worth toying with. Definitely looks to have potential with the genetics of these gelatos cause the plants/buds are huge and packed with resin. I’m guessing I’ll yield 2.5-3lbs per plant

I put mine through some shit. It did not begin a pistilless plant. I grew it indoors at that time it had pistils. I harvested it however I allowed a couple of growth nodes to stay on the plant. I then took that plant and put it outside to Reveg and it grew into a monster with no pistils anywhere.

As I said previously this was easily the best tasting bud from last year. This was Mimosa Evo by Barney Farms.

They definitely were stressed out in veg well before flowering cause I had one of my ac units break in the room and temps sky rocketed for about a week around 90-95 degrees during the day. I was thinking maybe they flipped to flowering then back to veg during that time but their was no buds on till I switched the whole room to flower. they just had no hairs but I’m glad I let them go cause some of the best smelling/looking plants I’ve had a pleasure to grow. I got these girls from a friend so don’t know where the seed came from wish I did though would love to cross it with some purp gorillas I’ve got.
