When I was a young man, I met a circle of friends that ended up being very influential in my formative years. One of the things that really stuck with me was the admonishment (probably after I said something really dumb) that I "be selective as to what you accept as the truth."

Back then it intrinsically meant, keep an open mind - examine everything. Look at the evidence supporting all sides, consider the sources, be suspicious and analytical. Then, and only then, form your opinions.

I was reflecting on this; it really has taken on a different meaning today. Now it is more likely to mean, only believe stories that support your predetermined conclusions.

It struck me that the principle of "be selective as to what you accept as the truth" did not require further explanation back then - now it does.

He's a known alcoholic and they both have tempers- both strong personality which is why it didn't work last time. I remember seeing an 'at home' with them back in early 2000's, they were in the kitchen preparing something together and the tension was crazy between them...they couldn't agree on something stupid- they broke up shortly afterward.

I had a thought..we never need present anyone other than SCOTUS, a Congressional Hearing for approval..we can have 'acting' Cabinet Members ad infinitum.

It's just that they are so not made for each other..but now..it's different- it's love.

Guess her and A-Rod competed for mirrors in the house thought they were solid, but alas too beautiful for each other..two Latinx..pretty sure JLo broke up his marriage.
