Depends on what kinda strain ur growing most strains need 7-10 weeks of flowering u should see color change start around week 5-7 depending on the strain. unless ur plants get stressed or root bound then it will come earlier with less yield.

I've read b-4 that some strains are best to harvest while clear, i would cut 1 good bud dry it and try it.

you heard right m8, 100 % Sativa can be ruined by waiting till they go amber, you want mostly cloudy or 50 % still clear, even that can take a long time (17-21 weeks for pure Haze)

i know what ur saying but id have to dry & cure it for about 3 weeks to get a fair idea if shes done or not

I dont want to start cutting anything right now, she having 2 more weeks before i start to make dicissions like that lol, if the trichs started changing in the next few days, is it possible for them to get to 50/50 in two weeks time?

maybe, how strong is your light ? MH is best for finishing off the last weeks because it has UV light. I've heard claims that it improves the taste too. Are you flushing yet if your planning on cutting down soon ?
Gotta ask 'cause I love Sativas, what are you growing. I've done a couple of Reeferman's 100 % Sativas (SE Asian crosses)

How about putting that uv face tanning thing on her for an hour a day?

wouldn't hurt lot's of people use reptile UV lights for the UVB. I think longer would be better if you don't mind shortening the live of the bulb (they're pretty expensive aren't they ?)

i dunno, my brothers sidter was throwing it out and its a home face tan solarium or something, for tanning your face ha ha, but it got an hour max timer on it, so im not bothered if i blow the bulbs

can't you take the bulb out of the fixture or just kill the timer ?

Yea i could kill the timer probably.. but im sure its there for a reason no... maybe so 1 hour is the recommended dose per day to tan ur face lol idk, dont want it to go up in flames cos i forgot about it lol

im gonna give it 3 hours a night starting at 9pm, my room goes into dark mode at 12 pm, think thats the best way to go about it?

i'll just reset the timer on the hour

Just dry and smoke youll get a fair idea of how it would be cured. the curing process does effect the potency a little but is mostly for bag appeal, taste and smoothness. if you can hack the harsh long enough to smoke a joint or a bowl youll have a good idea. the big difference in potency of cured and not is your lungs capability to hold the harsh compared to the cured.

Bingo ! that's all. I'd be uncomfortable leaving it on when I'm not at home though more so just because it's old. If one hour will give skin a tan it might be enough to ripen trichomes.

Well its on her as we speak has raised the temp a degree or so but no prob, i turned a couple of cfl's off to compensate, you think 3 hours a day, more or less the last 3 hours of her light cycle should surfice?

How would you recommend i dry it, if i cut it now id want to try it this time next week, whats the best way to dry it in that time period?
