Lucky you. Not so much luck for me.Yo first post ever as im new here, but yeah OG18 is my fav strain. came to roll it up looking if anyone has a cut from 08'-13'. i had it but it started to seed itself after 10 years. i suspect maybe this is what happened to the DNA guys stock breeder plant??. But yeah my 18 cut came from michigan as well as my close friends kandy kush cut.
in 2020 i purchased a pack of 6 og 18's and 3 kandy kush from true north seed bank and got 2 og 18 freebies. started em all and gave away the short plants to a close friend. I had two keeper 18's, one tall n purple, one normal green. both yielded similar but totally diff looking on outside, same awesome smelly insides tho. all 18s smoke terrific!! kandy kush was tall og style nugs that had a happy high and also yielded well. loved it too.
lost those plants to powder mildew. i kno right. any way i seen Midnight Roots, (a breeder ?) out of michigan has og 18 crosses. any word on them or their crosses?
You probably got lucky with those tangies not popping. I grew that like 5 years ago or so. One turned into a full blown intersex like halfway though. Never have seen anything even remotely like thay before. That being said one did turn out really good (the rest we eh) and I kept it for a couple of years…but you get tired of tangie quick if you know what I mean.Lucky you. Not so much luck for me.
I did a 3 pack order back in March for Tangie, OG18 and Lemon OG and got 6 free OG Kush seeds from Reserva and DNA.
All 6 Tangie seeds were duds. 2 cracked and 4 never opened after 2 weeks. When I opened them up I found brown mush inside. Nothing resembling an embryo.
The OG18 gave me 1 of 5 plants that was worth smoking. It was very good but very small yield. The rest went in the bubble hash making bag. Almost a pound of garbage that smelled of peanuts and almonds.
The Lemon OG gave me 2 nice plants out of 5 seeds. None with the old Lemon OG smell. No one wanted it. Into the bubble hash bag with another 10 ounces.
The OG Kush freebies all popped. 6 plants that smelled like peanuts and almonds. Not one fuel smelling plant out of any of them. Over a pound for the bubble hash bag.
Goodbye Reserva Privada and DNA
Yeah the cali o isnt known for being super sexually stable so thats where that traits coming from id betYou probably got lucky with those tangies not popping. I grew that like 5 years ago or so. I had some of their OG 18 grown from a recent pack-not by me though-which was excellent and is making me take a second look at them. "Losing their parents" is a classic tactic invented by a certain famous Dutchman to discredit his competitors many years ago, and it worked like a charm, and it appears to be still in use.
Sour cream strain was awesome. She was a fat lady!Sour Cream, Lemon Skunk, LA Woman, Kandy Kush, grew them out 10 years ago & they were dank for sure.
Just flipped a massive Training Day girl. She looks & smells promising. Seeds are about 10 years old.
