help with picking a new light, need to make a quick decision

i had the AC infinite s33. i am returning them. AC is unable to say why the light is not actually the 240w they claim...it is instead pulling 270w. likely this is overhead for something i don't use. So, i need to pick a new set fast.
i don't have a budget, but i do have a small tent which is 20"x36" footprint and i need a 6in carbon filter at the top which takes up space/area. i would like to get as much light in there as possible. at 270w with driver in the tent, temps were ~78f.

i found this bloom plus, anything wrong with it? https://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Included-Dimmable-Coverage-Spectrum/dp/B093F89M2Q/ref=sr_1_23?crid=3ULXS3J28D9FT&keywords=viparspectra+led+xs&qid=1658847776&sprefix=viparspectra+led+xs,aps,103&sr=8-23&th=1

it has a lot of good stuff. most importantly it has a removable ballast and looks small enough to fit in the tent. i would just buy top of the line arrays but they don't fit the tent.

Are there others that might be a good fit? thanks.

why wouldn't you just dim the light down to 240W? A 6" filter is not really needed in a tent with a volume of 27ft cubed as well. Even a small 4" exhaust fan at 100cfm-150cfm and a 4" filter will move around 4-6x the volume of the tent every minute.
it doesn't dim to 240. options are 270 or 217. i don't want to pay for 30w that aren't for the light. i would put 1000w if i could fit it in the tent. heat is not real problem.

The light is dimmable from 0 to 100%. Looks like you just returned a light that is giving you better performance than advertised. Don’t see people doing that very often…

no, it is dimmable in precisely 20% increments only. it is not fully dimmable in the way you suggest. it still won't matter, if there is overhead to support non-lighting then it is not energy efficient.

The dimmer knob doesn’t stop between positions? That’s the weirdest thing ever.

There is no overhead. The specs are usually given with 5-10% tolerance. The driver is probably just putting out more than normal. It’s not like it’s using extra power for a microscopic amusement park inside of it.

i called amazon support. they looked it up and couldn't confirm the wattage was for the actual lighting...will call ACI, just got their number, when they open. i have two separate issues with the light. it barely fits in my tents. i can't center it and use a 6in carbon filter. also, i can't move the driver. i would like to not run a dedicated AC unit for my tents.

This does not make sense to me? Its 100% dimmable. If you cannot dim it 100% then return it sure. If you can go from 240watt to 270watt and see a difference in the strength of the lighting then there is no issue at all in my eyes you just got more power better bang for your buck. The driver will not be overpowered with an extra 30watts nit even close. Also 30 watts will hardly touch your light bill. 270watt in a 2x3 tent gives you 45watts per square foot which is maximizing your space. Also 6in carbon filter setup is way to big for that size tent. 4in would be more than enough to give you slight negative pressure. You can save a lot of money with different scenarios and use it to put into nutes and good soil etc. Or more seeds! Just my 2cents.

What else do you think the wattage is being used for? 240w off one light is going to put off the same amount of heat as 240w of another. The issue with needing AC is independent of the light.

How are you measuring the wattage output? Have you tried setting the dimmer knob between the 20% increments?

i have a smart plug. it checks wall pull. it wavers between 269 and 271w. the dimmer is just an incremental knob with 5 positions. just checked with ACI, they said it was probably defective and to send it back.
