My weed plant is starting to look worrying

Are you feeding it anything besides coffee? And what size pot is it in?

Looks hungry to me, and if it lives outside then it's either in the "stretch" phase or is about to be, so its nutritional demands are gonna be pretty high right now.

I haven’t fed it anything other then the grounds. If you have any good and easy idea for me to add I would be seriously thankful. It is in a lowes 5 gallon bucket

New growth isn't showing signs shes hot so i would steer away from overfed to me she looks hungry, or potentially damaged in areas from bleeching but again thats just my thoughts bro hope you get this solved.

I don’t think (hope) it was the bleach as I only used it twice. Damage may be it as there were some storms recently, but it doesn’t seem to be anything other then specific leaves throughout the plant. If worst comes to worst I’ll post an update in a few days on the plant as this is day 3-4 of the changes.

I know coffee grounds are supposed to be a good source of nitrogen, which is what that plant seems to be low on, but if you're just putting the grounds straight on the soil they're probably gonna take a while to break down. I'd go with something a little faster-acting like the Alaska 5-1-1 liquid fish fertilizer, which is available at most hardware stores (in the US at least). It's strong stuff so don't give more than recommended on the label.

For longer-term, like to get it through flowering in that pot, I'd follow up with a few cups of compost or worm castings (store-bought is not ideal but is okay) and a top dressing of dry fertilizer. Personally I use Espoma Tomato-Tone in flower, but just about any all-purpose dry fertilizer blend should be fine, just go by the top-dressing recommendations on the label.

Edit: for that size plant in that size pot you're probably gonna have to top-dress every couple weeks in flower. Or if you're feeling ambitious then transplant it directly into the ground, with some compost and fertilizer in the hole.

I’m currently living in an apartment so planting in the ground won’t work. What does do you mean flour or flower and what does it do?

I mean when the plant starts making flowers (the parts people smoke). That happens when the days get shorter, starting late summer/early fall.

Tomato-Tone is just a type of fertilizer - .https://www.espoma.com/product/tomato-tone/ - it's branded for tomatoes but it works just fine for weed, and is available at my local garden center. If you want that plant to be able to grow its flowers without becoming deficient and dying, you're gonna have to fertilize it with something. Or put it in a bigger container with more fresh soil, and directly in the earth is the biggest container of all.

Fair. I already have a plan to head to a store that seems to sell most of the stuff mentioned. I wanted to know if I should snip anything before/after adding the fertilizer etc. Or will it start to come back.

I wouldn't remove any leaves at this point, if that's what you mean by snip. They're turning yellow because the plant isn't getting the nutrients it needs from the soil, so it's cannibalizing the older leaves to feed newer growth. The yellow ones will die and fall off in their own.

So far I'd say it looks good, just a little hungry. Good luck!

AHH! That just gave me a flash of inspiration! The reason for the dark spots is that the spider mites already took out the nutrients! So the plant just ignores those spots and they die! Thank you for the explanation it was exactly what I was looking for!
