The stir fried amaranth was delicious. Easy to grow and prepare. That will always be in my garden now.
I had to look up what that is, I’ve seen it before, on a plate, and the plant definitely as well. Going to try and find some soon. I read the grains can be popped a la popcorn as well.

Chicken skewers

Hot paprika, smoked paprika, garlic powder, koriander, s&p, sambal oelek, cayenne + chilli powder, 2 tblspoon oil, 1 table spoon maple syrup, 2tsp raw brown sugar, tsp soya, and a teaspoon of that tandoori marinade paste I posted a while ago. Pic taken before last one but looks almost identical.

In mini oven with whiskey wood chips. Chicken pieces separated by small pieces of red bell pepper. Normally use much larger chunks but wife confiscated some for salad.

^should have sprinkled some sesame seeds on it

Rotated a bunch of times, poured some of the juices back on it, came out great and hot. Made some lastminute yoghurt dip (lemon juice, coriander, cardemom, garam masala) to cool off a bit.

Beer instead of wine helps too. I could just buy Belgium, but this comes close and is imo the best popular beer made in NL, La Trappe Tripel. There’s better from very small brewers but this is very satisfying beer on hot summer days and cold winter nights.
