That would be nice but over budgetI'd imagine he wants the higher wattage version though
That 465 Pro is a sweet light, but more than I was planning on spending. That would be nice but over budget
Took a closer look at the Progrow 640 and it is indeed the better choice for that price.
Now the https://photontek-lighting.com/led/x-465w-pro-led/ is on my wish list, he, he...
Cheers
GLS current sale is good, but you missed the best summer sale by a month. My light was a no-brainer purchase - 25% off $395 retail = $295. I've just completed a 70 day full power flower run with the Progrow 320 & the grow exceeded my expectations.About to pull the trigger on the Progrow 640 with their deal at $595. I'm planning on maxing out a 4x4 for flower with this light and haven't been able to find anything that compares for the price, even with discount codes.
The question here is am I missing something?
TIA!
The warranty is a big concern compared to similar lights and brands. What you may be missing is the warrantee - Product is not considered defective by GLS unless more than 15% of the LEDs stop working - scary stuff. The good news is GLS has a 120 day return for any reason policy. Buy it and run it at 100% power for a full flower cycle and return it if not satisfied. Better yet - grow a run of AutoFlowers to keep the light on for a 18 or 24 hour - 70 day torture test.
I have a short run light that I built myself. Unfortunately with PLC not selling their strips anymore I need to buy something commercial and keep the diy light in my 2x4 for veg and the occasional auto run.I purchased this light on sale for a 4 by 4 tent, I think it was like a 150 shipped on sale, and have been pleasantly surprised.
Does not run too hot and my plants have grown exceptionally well under it. I'm no expert though.
For the price it seemed a worthwhile purchase to me. I'd say versus a 4 or $500 light it would probably do well at least for the short run.
The attached image are my auto flowers currently under the light.
Or GLS is more forth-coming in their warranty terms; Photontek's site mentions a five year warranty, but I was unable to find specifics; I'd be very surprised if any manufacture is going to replace an entire light if one diode goes out.The warranty is a big concern compared to similar lights and brands. Awesome! Would love to hear feedback once it's up and running.I pulled the trigger on the GLS. now just waiting on anticipation
"Top Bin Samsung and Ledestar Diodes"Awesome! Would love to hear feedback once it's up and running.
I suspended my light search in the remote chance I won one with HLG's most recent giveaway, but am now again in the market - preferably from a company that doesn't do contests (sorry Mars, Spider, Vivo) or silly rebranding.
Also - GLS' warranty intrigues me; I took a look at some competitors and saw a lot of vague language... I stand by what I said above, and suspect that GLS' warranty procedure may be better as a result.
edit - did you see anything on their site re: type of diode, or total count? I don't pretend to know enough to infer anything from that info, I just thought it odd it wasn't included.
Sure is, though sounds like much of the assembly is automated; if I understand correctly, other lights are hand-assembled..?650si is comparable at below site for $100 less

thanks for the info! I'm currently looking for a light for my first grow in a 2x4; was looking at the GLS Program 320 and various ChilLED offerings, but will take a look at the 300.I purchased two GLS 300 lights last year, first led lights I've ever used and owned. I'm incredibly impressed by them, by far best light I've ever used. Gone through two harvest with them and they are killer! I believe you're going to be satisfied with that light.
thanks for the info; are the drivers removable?Awesome man, you'll love it. The biggest advantage the 320 has over the 300 is the dimmer knob. The 300 does not have any markings on it to tell you what percent you're running you're lights at where as the 320 does. The 320 also has a higher CRI; you'll be happy with either choice!
