Will This Work?

I'm getting ready to build a small room (21"x33"x64"). Because of budget constraints, lack of room and no desire to deal with heat, I've decided to go with CFLs for now. If I use six of these: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...PDQ&lpage=none with six of these: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...791&lpage=none will it be enough for six plants in flowering? I intend to have one light for each plant. Will it be enough?

I've never used CFLs before. Back when I used to grow, I had an entire garage split into two rooms, one with a 400w HPS for veg and the other with two 1000w HPS's for flowering. But this is totally different.

This will be my flowering room only. I'll continue to use the smaller space I have my plants in now for veg.

Any help is be greatly appreciated.

im not sure about those bulbs, cant see the kelvin rating. but i do know you will probably need a lot more than one bulb per plant. check out my project in my sig to see an example of how a lot of people set up their stuff. also there are a lot of cfl journals around here where people have got some outstanding results (cannabizness's 10 oz's from 2 plants in a rubbermaid box is a shining example for most of us). good luck!

not nearly enough light. count on 75 actual watts (your bulbs are 23 actual watts) per square foot of growing area. that's about 450 watts total compared to 190 watts provided by your 6 bulbs. the next largest size of cfl bulb is 42 watts, and your fixtures can handle it, so that's what i'd go with.

if you can get that hps 150 and cool it etc. i would definatly go for it! that thing puts out 16,000 lumens i believe, and you will get much denser buds than 150 watts of cfl's will give you. thats the prevailing wisdom anyways, i havent used a hps personally only cfl's.

Those would be fine for 6 plants during veg (even so it take them a while to grow to maturity with those crappy bulbs).. as for flowering with them, it will NOT be worth your while dude, sorry.. the yield will suck pretty bad, even if they DO flower :(
I suggest you look into LED lighting.. no heat problems, and you can get red and blue lights then during flowering just increase the number of red lights and you are golden.. those crappy lowes light will make your electricity bill sky rocket too.. dont use those bulbs man... good luck!

By no way am I an Expert... But I do know that Cfl's you can flower with , You will get light airy buds .. But LEDS are the worst ever... Thats BAD Advice

I saw some bulb splitters in a pic on another thread but don't remember which one. Where can I get those and is there a specific name for them?

its just a Y splitter, you can get at home depot or other hardware/electrical type store. it is just 2 female sockets to one male socket. they usually run around 2.50 for me.
you will also need the socket to plug adapter thingy, those are usually in the same area as the y splitters when you find them.

uhmm, I wasn't responding generally to cfls but to the link to the light he was suggesting which had a max 26W .. ouch .. feel free to try to grow a plant to maturity and flower it using this crappy of a light bro.. LEDs are not the best solution obviously but better on the electric bill and small space where it gets hot and better than a crappy lowes 26W !
good luck!
