China has committed "serious human rights violations" against Uyghur Muslims in its northwestern region of Xinjiang, which may amount to "crimes against humanity" according to a long-awaited report released Wednesday by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Omer Kanat, executive director of the Uyghur Human Rights Project, called the report a "game-changer for the international response to the Uyghur crisis." "Despite the Chinese government's strenuous denials, the UN has now officially recognized that horrific crimes are occurring,"

Maybe it’s because no government and few large corporations cared enough so far, but I’d be shocked if this is going to be anything close to a game-changer for international response. Instead of the UN confirming again what we already knew, I’d like to see an investigation and report on why both governments and consumers are not motivated to take action.

So I encountered a mountain lion while walking my dog last night. Shit was wild and weird. It was way into the suburbs. There are big open spaces all over and guess it had just made its way through them.

Fuck mountain lions in their stupid asses. I'm making a spear and hunting the fucker down.
