When 50% of the trichs are amber brown you're ready to chop!how long from start to finish with the og.. is it 9 weeks or 10 help
I know this is from 2008, but did people really actually believe that you want amber trichs? You harvest at 80% cloudy trichs before ANY go amber. Amber trichs means thc is dropping. That plant has probally been ready to chop for about a week just by looking at it thru pics all the trichs are deep amber
Listen, the necrobump is classic RIU. Daily, some rando decides it would be good to drag up a post from the dead which often spreads misinformation about a topic and otherwise clutters up the forum.Nothing wrong with amber. Still plenty of THC in amber trichs. If you make hash, you want ripe glandular heads -- amber. If you harvest at 80% cloudy, you will have a ton of immature heads. You will have more THC overall with 50% amber than 80% cloudy. There are also levels to amber. There is amber and then near black. Black is bad.
Could have just made a new thread also instead of necrobumping this one.
Thats not true, at all. There was recently a test done where large nugs were cut off 1 by 1 each week and lab tested for thc. at 6 weeks, the plant had 30% of its potential max thc, at week 7 it had over 50% of its potential, at week 8 it had 86% of its potential thc, and by week 9, as soon as amber trichs started to show, it was at roughly 74% of its max thc,Nothing wrong with amber. Let's see the tests. Guarantee you're full of shit.Thats not true, at all. Amber trichs means thc is degrading and you're losing potency, fact. Your cbd levels are increasing, but cbd doesnt get you high like thc does. If you want a truly stoney bud, you harvest when 50% of your trichs are cloudy. Over the next 7 days drying, the remaining trichs turn cloudy without any turning amber.
You old guys harvesting when you have 50% amber trichs make me laugh my ass off, especially when you think that being locked to the couch=good weed xD
Your buds testing at 12% thc with like 4%cbd where mine is testing at 24% thc with 1%cbd and actually having a proper effect.
Believe what you want, its a proven fact that amber trichs = thc levels starting to drop.Let's see the tests. Guarantee you're full of shit.
There ya go bud, he has a youtube page as well but the week by week lab test video is on facebook. Plant was bigger by week 9 than it was at week 8, but thc had dropped.Let's see the tests. Guarantee you're full of shit.
I typically don't trust YouTube for much and for good reason. There are tons of terrible growers on YouTube spreading garbage info. Watched the video but didn't see any lab studies. Are there actual lab reports or is that only for Patreon members of his page? Dude was scoping and looking at the trichs on sugar leaves as well, which is beyond pointless. There ya go bud, he has a youtube page as well but the week by week lab test video is on facebook. Plant was bigger by week 9 than it was at week 8, but thc had dropped.
He literally takes a cutting at every week starting at week 6 and has it lab tested for potency. If you know that your strain is supposed to be 18% thc max, then you can easily figure this shit out. That video is a joke.
