I sure haven’t seen a whole lot of love (actually none) spewing from the mouth of Trump or his minions. Lots of hate for others that actually do promote love and equality, but ya, not so much love. You all are, I believe at the cliffs edge, and turning the herd away is what is needed now. The only way to do that is to get in front and block them. Just seems divisive to me. I disagree with many of my friends about their political and personal beliefs. I would never assume to condemn them for either.

What about if they want to murder or suppress people based on their race? What about if they commit treason to their country by supporting a known traitor and criminal? What if they want to tear the country down because someone else is getting some too? I speak plainly, anybody who supports or votes for republicans is a traitor, they took it to this point, not patriotic Americans. Trump is still the leader of the republicans and that should tell you all you need to know. Both sides are not the same, one side betrayed the constitution and still does, if laws and elections can't deal with it then civil war will. It's not even about a majority, it's about the constitution, without it you are no longer the United States.

What you see is a reaction to something initiated by others, who are actually motivated by hate, fear and bullshit. Don't you think Trump and those who support him should get such a reaction? I mean that's what triggering the libs is all about, then you whine when you succeed? Hate is often met with hate, some people and religions whine about it, but it is the tried and true method. Do you expect someone in Ukraine to love the Russians? It's the same in America, but just a matter of degree, when someone attacks your country, constitution and rights it is normal to hate their guts. What's the problem?

This violates democratic freedom.

Look, when people are under threat they generally organize into formal and informal groups and part of that process is enforcing group conformity and unity, it's as instinctive as the tribalism that evokes it. I joined a tribe that aligns with my values, both in America and in Ukraine, wherever the fight for liberal democracy is. From your posts in the past I don't have too much disagreement with you and I'm not climbing aboard you, like I do with trolls. Trying to sit on the fence in judgement however will mean you will get shot from both sides in no man's land. Unlike many things, this is not an ambiguous situation, in America or in Ukraine for those with values.

The fact that Roger is so pissed off means he has values that are being offended, but it also means he will respect the rule of law and the results of elections. I've joked that Trump should be burned at the stake on the capitol lawn FFS, perhaps he should be, but that's not how the law works. In fact, one of the problems is the law doesn't seem to work for Trump and at this point he appears to be above it, with special rights that nobody else enjoys. This is bound to piss some people off, aside from his attempted coup.

the war in russia is just because that's the way people are? no, that's the way fascist dictators are, and they get that way because people like you enable their fucking terrorism...you keep up with this "other thinkers" thing...there is right and wrong, period. your other thinkers are fascists, christian nationalists, authoritarians...i'm happy to shut them down the minute they open their mouths and start spreading hate. i'm the one usually saying that some people shouldn't be allowed to vote, and it's not because of their political ideology, it's because of their lack of intelligence, and their refusal to familiarize themselves with the issues and the people they're voting on. i've never said anything about fining people for their opinions, nor do i recall that ever being brought up, unless it's about fcc fines for broadcasters who allow hate speech on their platforms.
