there's a huge oktoberfest going on near coors field too all day saturday. don't wanna get too hammered and miss the showYa, the foothills. I'm stoked. Got GA tickets. I've never seen them live so it'll be fun. I'd love to see Judas too. @rkymtnman will be there too, but he's got seats in the bowl.
Tbh i miss the good import hash more than any strain on earth its too rare these days and bubble hash etc just dont come close in my opinion you cant beat well made dry sift from the source dont get me wrong indian or Pakistani hand rubbed can be pretty good too and yeah you can make some great dry sift at home just idk its just a lil different theres something to the whole terroir thing i thinkWhat was really good was breaking up some Blonde Lebanese hash and mixing that with some of the Humboldt County weed and rolling a joint. Then we'd spread some Honey Oil on the outside of the joint and spark it up. We'd be glued to chairs for a couple hours listening to Judas Priest, Alan Parsons, Iron Maiden, etc... The weed always lined up with the fall psilocybin mushrooms we'd pick. Memories of sitting around the table high on mushrooms playing the board game RISK with a plate of good bud, a bong going around, a beer in front of you, and a fifth on the table as well. Good times.
This ^when i had a caregiver, he grew an island sweet skunk that had the best taste of anything i've ever tried.
Back in the 70's when the good stuff was making it into the states I remember the black hash as well. I also remember, around here at least that it was all called Lebanese. Either blonde or black. The actual product may not have even come from Lebanon as Morocco was also a big producer of hashish as well and I'm sure quite a bit of that was coming over and was just called Lebanese. Similar to what I'm sure happened with strains like Acapulco Gold where anything that came from Acapulco was called Acapulco Gold. But more than likely much of the weed was grown elsewhere. Acapulco has a bay which would have made it easy to get weed onto ships that would then bring the weed up the west coast.Tbh i miss the good import hash more than any strain on earth its too rare these days and bubble hash etc just dont come close in my opinion you cant beat well made dry sift from the source dont get me wrong indian or Pakistani hand rubbed can be pretty good too and yeah you can make some great dry sift at home just idk its just a lil different theres something to the whole terroir thing i think
When i started hash was all that you got except the odd rare time you came across some grass and im from the uk pretty much all of europe was the same in this regard though till indoor kicked off more and more in a big way hash was the most common form of cannabis out there now its much rarer for the obvious reasons our most common types was your various morrocan types but we got plenty of leb indian afghani pakistani etc as well till indoor kicked off more id say we got more african thai/laos Caribbean imports weed wise i know in usa mexican and the various south american ones were probably the most prevalent before the strain game kicked off lolBack in the 70's when the good stuff was making it into the states I remember the black hash as well. Frenchy has bottle tech that decarbs the hash which supposedly helps make it better than just pressed.Tbh i miss the good import hash more than any strain on earth its too rare these days and bubble hash etc just dont come close in my opinion you cant beat well made dry sift from the source dont get me wrong indian or Pakistani hand rubbed can be pretty good too and yeah you can make some great dry sift at home just idk its just a lil different theres something to the whole terroir thing i think
This is sooooo familiar. You wouldn't believe the number of people I've told about smokin' hash this way and they look at me like I'm crazy. The stuff we got was called blond Lebanese. Who knows where it came from but it was good. So was the Columbian, Panama Red and Thai weed. I don't remember Hawaiian back then. There was lots of Mexican that you had to smoke so much of that we kept sore throats!Closest thing I've had to that Blonde from the day is pressed dry ice hash I made.
It even worked for Pin and Jar. I still have some left. Maybe I'll hotknife some later.
A walk down memory lane.
