Just wondering what you guys think about my situation this year.
I am growing outdoors in 20 gallon pots in soil. It's about 75% ocean forest and 25% happy frog with a little extra perlite added. Im sure the plants are over grown for the size of the pots.
In August we were seeing 100+ temps outside and i had to start watering 2x a day with 1-2 gallons per watering.
Now the temps have dropped to the 80's and im still having to water 2x a day. Thing is, the soil is not drying out and i feel like i shouldn't have to water so much. I usually water around 8am and if i don't water again by 2pm the larger fan leaves will be starting to droop. When i do water they perk back up and as long as i do this they look fine.
If i keep to my 8am and 1pm watering they never droop and look fine, so not really sure i have an issue. Its just that now the top of the soil is still so moist i feel i shouldn't have to water, but i do. So i am concerned they are now getting over watered even though they perk back up right after watering.
