Biden said it out loud in a speech a few days ago. We all knew it before he said it but to have the President of the United States come out and say it. That's different. Let the light of truth purify us.
At a campaign rally for Maryland Democrats, he said, "You have to choose. Will we be a country that moves forward or a country that moves backward?"

President Biden called on Democrats Thursday "to vote to literally save democracy once again" - and compared Republican ideology to "semi-fascism" - as he led a kickoff rally and a fundraiser in Maryland 75 days out from the midterm elections.
Addressing an overflow crowd of thousands at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Mr. Biden said, "Your right to choose is on the ballot this year. The Social Security you paid for from the time you had a job is on the ballot. The safety of your kids from gun violence is on the ballot, and it's not hyperbole - the very survival of our planet is on the ballot."
"You have to choose," Mr. Biden added. "Will we be a country that moves forward or a country that moves backward?"
Mr. Biden on Thursday expanded on his effort to paint Republicans as the "ultra-MAGA" party - a reference to former President Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan - opposing his agenda and embracing conservative ideological proposals as well as Trump's false claims about the 2020 election.
"What we're seeing now is either the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy," Mr. Biden told donors at the fundraiser. "It's not just Trump, it's the entire philosophy that underpins the - I'm going to say something, it's like semi-fascism."
"I respect conservative Republicans," Mr. Biden said later. "I don't respect these MAGA Republicans."
That's it, folks. He said what we all knew. The MAGA Republican Party has turned away from democracy and toward the violent, backward, authoritarian autocratic ideology of Hitler and Mussolini.
We know this from what Trump read with great interest.
Trump’s Ex-Wife Says He Kept Hitler’s Book of Speeches by Bedside
Donald Trump’s ex-wife in an interview in 1990 said that Trump kept a book of Hitler’s speeches by his bed side.
United States Presidential candidate for 2016, Donald Trump used to sleep with a book of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler’s speeches by his bedside, his former wife Ivana Trump had said in an interview with
Vanity Fair in 1990.
A report by
Business Insider, cites an excerpt from the interview where Ivana tells her lawyer Michael Kennedy that Trump reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches,
My New Order and keeps it in a cabinet by his bed.
fascist movements include: nationalism (including racial nationalism), hierarchy and elitism, militarism, masculinity, and quasi-religion. Other aspects of fascism such as its "myth of decadence", anti-egalitarianism and totalitarianism can be seen to originate from these ideas.
There are plenty of examples within the Republican Party and their supporters. And some people who post here fit the bill too.
