Light leaks on tent stitching

Hi all,

Just setting up and on testing, some of the stitching on the tent is leaking a bit of light - anything to be worried about?

Below pics were taken in a dark room with the 300w LED on full power.

Thanks!

I think you'll get mixed opinions on the issue, some will say nothing to worry about the full moon is way brighter, and others will swear it will cause your crop to herm out.

You could just toss a blanket or blankets over the areas of concern, or move the tent to a room that is light proof.

Nothing a little duct tape won’t fix. It probably won’t hurt, but it’s best just to patch it up and not have to worry about it.

Thanks all,

I might just hang some blackout material on the window blind you can kinda see see in the background in Pic 3, as it will look a bit neater.

The room the tent is in is small spare bedroom, so like you say, it won't be disturbed unless im just going in to check temps or whatever.

I haven't had any issues with it, I don't usually keep a light on in the lung room either.
Only plant I've had herm on me was Barneys farm Acapulco Gold

I'm just gonna hang some felt or mylar on the inside of the window blind I think. Might also help with temp regulation as it's getting cold here.

In the Bugbee video about light pollution, he brings up the illumination provided by the moon. The key point that he made is that as long as there isn't enough light in the grow environment so that you can see well enough to read a newspaper, cannabis won't be impacted.

As far as light leaks in that tent, I myself would not feel comfortable with that tent "I have insane ocd tho".

I had the same problem with a secret Jardin 4x4 tent several years ago, they sent me 2 tents and both of them were shotty as hell.

If we learned anything today, let's at least learn that the moon does not produce light.. It is not the same as turning on your overhead lamp in your room, or heavy ass light leaks into your grow area..

unless enough light leaks so that you can read a large print book by it, you can ignore it.

Regardless of how big that light leak is, if you bought this brand new and it came with any leaks, I'd be on the phone with them getting a new one..

I hate when companies send shotty products and then don't stand behind their shotty products..

TBH tho, I haven't found a good tent yet, I quit looking and decided to go full rooms instead.

If it was purchased new and it came like this, it's not fine.. Just out of principle alone I would take it back..

Im a dick tho and not afraid to tell someone they produced a shitty product.
